People calling to reduce interest rate, on any card. wants all your information. Does anyone know who this is/

Spam caller with recording about lowering your interest rates.

Dont you DARE, give out personal information about credit cards to other companies. Possible, Scam and fraud. Only people who can reduce your credit card interest rate are the credit card company themselves. And trust me its money for them so they wont call. But you can call them to get your interest rates reduced.

These people call using various numbers to get your credit card info in hopes in reducing your debt. No real affiliation with credit card companies. Do not provide any information and ask to be removed from the list.

Report caller for Do Not Call Violation.

They call, and call, and call, etc.  
Today I rushed to the phone expecting a certain phone call and them again!  So, I called the number and waited quite a while.  A guy came on.  I said do not call our number ever again.  He said
"go such an egg" or something like that and hung up.

I am on the DO NOT CALL list.  I am SICK & TIRED of receiving BS from these companies!  PLEASE make them STOP!!!!

I have been ignoring these calls for months because I didn't recognize the number on my caller ID.  Today I decided to answer to see what it was all about.  I listened right up to the point where they asked for my credit card number for "verification."  I asked that they send me the information in the mail instead.

I am on the National No Call list, and I don't want to receive any more calls from these people.

What do I do about that?

When I press for which card they represented they hung up the phone on me.

Continuously getting phone calls from this number.  It is a recording offering to lower my interest rates.  When I press one and get a live person, I ask them where they got my # from that we are on a do not call registry.  They hang up on me.  They call OFTEN.

Started with recording about intrest rates. when i pressed one to talk to some one a lady came on and i asked if they even look at the Do Not Call List and she asked how much i pay for that. I said nothing, and she said "that's right you pay sh*t and you get fu*cking nothing" and hung up

Hung up on machine.

This number just called my home when I asked what company they were calling about they hung up..CAN YOU SAY SCAMERS....DO NOT  GIVE NO INFO TO THESE PEOPLE

got the same call--doesn't do any good to report to Do Not Call--I've been on it since it started--still getting calls--they pay no attention

These calls seem to go in cycles.  For a few weeks we will get a call from them almost every day, then nothing for a few weeks.   I have tried reporting them to the Do Not Call people and they told me that without a valid business name and phone number they could not do anything.  What good is the Do Not Call list?

I continually get calls from this number.  After pressing 1 a man who sounds like he is foreign comes on.  When asked to stop calling he hangs up.  To try to re-dial this number it says this call cannot be completed as dialed.  I am sick of this!   The recorded message is to lower my interest on my credit card.

This call came in with the Caller ID MasterCardRewar.  When they asked for my card number, I knew it was a scam. If they were legit they would have had that information.

I have received this phone call previously.  I called back and started asking questions as to who they were and they hung up on me.  I have started receiving the phone calls again.  I am on the State and Federal "DO NOT CALL LIST".  I am going to contact them again.  It's a $2000 fine for each call.  If this does not stop it, I will call the news media to see if they can help.

I am beginning to love these calls.  I have developed a few ways to mess with their heads (assuming you have a few minutes).

1.  Get the operator on the line.
2.  Begin giving out as much phony information as possible.  Make the operator spend as much time as possible with you (REPEAT:  give out PHONY information).  I especially enjoy giving out street names and towns with very stange or salacious names that will make the operator feel awkward.  I like to use Toe Suck, Nebraska :-)
3.  Ask TONS of questions.  Some personal like where they are, how is the weather.  Nothing too accusatory, not at first.
4.  Make the operator feel as awkward as possible.  I've pretended to have certain medical conditions, I once told them I was an emancipated slave from Senegal.
5.  Finally, drop the hammer, tell them you know it is fake, and since you've been on the phone long enough, you've traced the number and you're sending a recording of the call to the FBI (in most states...it IS legal to tap a phone call, as long as at least one of the parties knows this.)

YES, I CERTAINLY DO LOVE TO HUNT!  JUST GIVE ME SOME NUT CASE RUNNING AROUND BOTHERING PEOPLE LIKE THAT, AND THAT IS JUST ANOTHER CHALLENGE FOR ME.  HECK, LIKE OLE CHUCKIE SAID, I"D CHASE THEM TO THE GATES OF HELL.." JUST TO GET ONE..JUST THE TRUTH, DIDN'T MEAN TO SCARE ANYONE --AND MINE WAS THE SAME AS HAS BEEN TALKED ABOUT BEFORE..THEY CALL ABOUT LOWERING MY CREDIT CARD CHARGES FOR ME...WELL, DANG, HOW ABOUT THAT!!--I USE ONLY 1 CREDIT CARD AND IT IS PAID IN FULL EVERY MONTH SO I NEVER HAVE TO PAY ANY CHARGES, ANYWAY.

My husband answered the phone, and when the caller started with that "we can lower your credit card interest rate" spiel, he was informed that we were on the Do Not Call registry and the caller was breaking the law. His response was that we were not on that list, because if we were, he wouldn't be calling. My husband repeated that we were indeed on the list. At that point the caller became abusive and used foul language to curse my husband, who said mildly, "You have an attitude, Jack." Then we hung up and I used our call history to get the number so I could do a reverse lookup to determine where the call originated. We will be using that information to register a report online. I think we all need to keep reporting every call that violates the rules. It takes time for the authorities to build a case against these bottom-feeders and the more reports and evidence we provide, the more likely it is that they will be stopped.
