I signed a marriage equality position awhile ago and the only recently started calling. They call and don't leave a message. If you pickup and don't say anything you can hear them. I already once said I'm not donating and they continue to call.

Same here!  I made one donation because I do believe it the cause, but they call my number almost every day, and I just don't answer it anymore.  The last time I spoke to someone, I told them I couldn't donate at the time.  Their call center is relentless. :/

I've gotten several calls this week from this number. No messages. Nothing. Really aggrivating.

As others have stated, this is Equality Florida. I have donated in the past, which is how they have my number.

To address some of the concerns by others:

- They haven't sold your number to any telemarketers.
- They are calling because you have either donated in the past or signed their pledge at a pride event.
- They don't leave messages because it is likely a volunteer that is calling. Leaving messages takes too long when you have volunteers calling to ask for a donation, and the number of people calling back and donating far outweighs any benefits of leaving the message.
- If you want your  name taken off the list, all you have to do is answer the next time and kindly tell them you support the cause, but would like to be taken off the list. You can probably do this by e-mailing them as well.

This number has not stopped calling me for 3 weeks.  I have never donated to them or heard of their cause.  I wonder how they got my private cell number.

They called my parents house looking for me and told my mom "I have spoken to him at this number before"...NOT True!  I have never spoke to anyone from Equality Florida on my parents phone, only on my cell phone.  When my mother told her to try me on my cell, asked for that number....they already had that number!  Getting very annoyed with them now!  I supported them in the past, but won't ever again cause now they are outright annoying with their lies!!

Got a call /voice mail at my work number from 407-412-2171 claiming to be from Florida Blue (Blue Cross Blue Shield ) regarding a prescription authorization. I have never given my work number to my insurance company. Florida Blue is one of Florida's largest health insurers so they are bound to get lucky. If I called back I'm sure they would ask for some personal information to scam me. REMEMBER: If a company calls you, do not give out any personal info unless you know the number AND they can verify certain info about you first. Caller IDs can be faked. Always best to call the company back at a known and published number , like in your card. A real company would have no issue with you doing that.
