I won a FREE VACATION!  I won a Free Vacation!  Can you believe it?   WOW!  And they gave me a Claim # and everything.  Oh how cool.  I am so lucky!

Caller ID showed 'Not Available.' Caller hung up after 3 rings. After seeing these messages, this number was added to my PhoneTray block list. Done.

(A reverse lookup on the number shows it's a Smart City Telecom number located in...Lkbunavist, Florida. Imagine that - scam calls from Florida, where USA scammers must like the climate for both weather and "business.")

Another number to add to my call blocker.  Left no message, but judging by previous posts, the scammers have a new number...

Unwanted call

I get a call from this # every couple of days. When I answer no one is on the other end. if I let it go to voice mail then I just have the tail end of a message to delete. Rather annoying.

Got a call, didn't answer. Don't answer to Ph# I don't know.  Just another scam prob.

I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know...so I am going to block this one too. I wish these people would get a life.

Don't ever answer these 'unknown' caller-IDs.   If you do, you have marked your telephone number as a 'hot one'.  You'll never get rid of the annoying calls from that day forward.

It doesn't matter if you press '1' or call the number back to ask to be put on the DNC list.  The fact you answered is enough to get you tagged as a 'viable' telephone marketing sap.  Sorry.

It's useless to fight this scourge.  Your only recourse is to 1. put in a another block-this-call in your list (which only temporarily stifles this one Caller-ID number).  2. Spend countless hours with calling your Legislature/Representative and complain (and it goes nowhere).  3. Change your telephone number and never give it out to any business!  Never!   Never!

Your telephone number is priceless and once you realize that fact you'll protect it from then on.   It won't always prevent all unsolicited telephone calls but it will reduce the number by a great deal.

Robocall hangup. Excellent advice above from "cowboy" and "rox" above. This is a massive problem, too big for the authorities (FCC, Congress, etc.) as past history has shown. For every scammer they manage to shut down, five more pop up because robocalling is so cheap and easy, and the world is full of suckers.

An unwanted call.

I have blocked this number twice from my phone because when I have called them I have gotten a busy signal. I am not sure how they are able to get through once I blocked them.

i sincerely doubt the fed govt is even trying. i think the do not call registry was just a website they created to gather phone numbers to sell to telemarketers.

Answered the call, but no one was on the other line; they then hung up.

I would be interested to know whether this is related to the data breach at Anthem.

Anthem user reporting in, just got a call earlier today.

I don't have any affiliation to "anthem" and I JUST received a call a moment ago. I said hello, there was no response. Then they disconnected.
