Claims to be a construction company working in your neighborhood, offers to estimate whate3ver work you might be considering on your house.
There's no construction going on in my neighborhood; I don't know what their angle is.  Guessing they might be wanting to case your house for anything worth robbing....

He called me by name then identified himself as "Mike Curtis, the contractor". After I said "I've never heard of you" he disconnected.

I've been on the DO-NOT-CALL list for over ten years and verified my number is still on the list annually; this is another telemarketer that ignores that list.

I have told them numerous times to take me off their list.  I do not use contractors on my home, since I am a construction worker and do all my own construction work on my house.

Unsolicited call, profanity upon answering

Didn't even answer when I picked up the "phone after 3 rings.  Anybody out there have the process for complaints to government agency regulating complaints about 'phone users like this one?  I'm not the only one complaining.

Website folks: have you thought about having a continuous counter going on complaints about this number?  ...with some sort of resulting action one can take after number reaches a certain level?

I get a lot of soliciting calls from San Martin 408-214-xxxx numbers and usually don't answer them any more but today I chose to answer when my phone reported "San Martin 408-214-2527.

A young gal explained he fathers construction business was celebrating it's 30th anniversary and was offering free estimates to local neighbors!  I stopped her there and asked her why she was soliciting a phone number that was on the "do not call" list.  She started to get upset and said look Dennis _______ (she knew my last name) your number is public record!  I said it's on the do not call list again and she cut me off and cussed me out with words that would make a sailor blush.  In the middle of her rant she called me a jive turkey and added other assorted 4 letter words at about 100 miles per hour when the connection was disconnected...  I got a laugh in that it was like someone on her end hung up the call on her!  I also found this on craigslist that supports this being a scam as all the areas listed where they work are nowhere near where the phone number is from... Business number is 943638

Keeps getting a call from him. Sometimes when I am away no message is left. I am on the Do Not Call list that no one looks at it.

Yes we keep getting this guy and or his daughter calling. I've finally got the number blocked. We'll see if that works.

This call is from A1 Solar Power, a solar company based in Van Nuys, California (with six branches throughout the state: San Diego, Costa Mesa, Carpenteria, Petaluma, Concord, and San Jose) or one of its telemarketing fronts.  

A1 Solar Power’s telemarketing fronts usually spoof both the Caller-ID name and the Caller-ID number.

These people call several times a week and have been told repeatedly to remove us from the list and that we do not need any services they may provide, and still the call us.  I suspect that they have another agenda to gather data of when we are home.

Caller ID said it's from 408-214-2527. Claim to be "probuilders" or something, a construction company. And asked to talk to Mr. Allen. (man of the house). And had the guts to ask WHO I am & the relationship with Mr. Allen. And claim to had talked to Mr. Allen couple weeks ago about construction work. Well, FRAUD & LIAR: because Mr. Allen has been in coma for the past 3 years.

Multiple calls each day, with no messages left.

I've gotten multiple calls from this number, which apparently is spoofed.  You can hear that it is a call center by the chatter of all the other minions in the background of the call.  My caller today claimed to be from "Superb Construction", which was a small family firm and her husband was the contractor.  I asked for his state contractor's license number (which, if he actually were a contractor, is required to be given on request).  The poor dear wife didn't know it; she said her husband would give it when he showed up to do an estimate.  When I asked again, she hung up

Your callers do not maintain this site or this web page. Your callers cannot magically determine which numbers should not be called based on anonymous comments. You cannot expect compliance with your orders until, if possible, you deliver them *directly* to your caller.

I don't know what kind of "process for complaints" you think is needed. The FTC has a website, a phone number, email and surface addresses. So does your attorney general. The FTC just launched a mobile phone portal for its "complaint assistant" besides. None of this is made too hard for people.

The point of a thread complaint counter is lost on me. Not every comment is a complaint, for one. The volume of comments does not indicate severity of a given problem, if that's where you're going. Also, phone numbers do change hands among businesses, which also changes the direction of related comments.
