"Elvis Morgan, IRS Officer, Badge #822152" called my cell from this number.  DO NOT fall for this scam.  He stated that I was being charged with income tax fraud.  I told him that there was no way that there was any discrepancy on my income tax return, and also that I work for a CPA firm and that I deal with the IRS on a daily basis (which I do).  He became rude and told me that he was going to place me on hold and connect me with the local sheriff's office who would be serving me with a warrant, at which point the line was disconnected.  I know when someone says they are from the IRS, it can be scary, but please do not give these people any money.  If you have an actual issue with the IRS, you will receive a notice in the mail, not a phone call.  There is even a warning on the IRS website about these scammers.

Thanks...I just posted earlier today on another site the same thing...Today was my 1st day to receive IRS scam calls...and WOW they have now called me 3X just today and each call has a different number with identical voice mail left. SMH!!

keep getting calls....this is nuts

Got a voicemail saying it's the IRS. That I needed to call or legal action could be taken!  Google said it was a scam.

I got a phone call on 9/7/16 at 8:32am stating to give them a call at this number 1(202)846-0499, and it came from Washington, DC. It says to call this other number which is 1(408)216-8884, it says her name is officer Heather Grey, and I need to call them right away. That call came today 9/10/16 at 9:16am. I never answered, cause I know the IRS does not call you, they will send you a letter. I would like to know how to stop these calls?

I got the same call today September 12, 2016 at 10:36 am same number and same Officer Heather Grey. Not even a real voice, it is computer automated.

this# has called me twice so far claiming to be the IRS. i know its a scam and hung up is there anyway we can stop this

I have received 7 calls from this number.  I have it blocked from my phone however, they are still able to leave a generic voicemail.  Thank you very much for this information.

I just got the same message today (9/13/16, 9:12 AM).  My 80 year ld mother was getting these calls (right after my dad passed) and she was scared. Something has to be done about these scumbags.
