Another scammer.  It's amazing that there are enough stupid people around for these jerks to steal from and make a profit.  The recording I got seemed to offer me a way to have my identity stolen in return for a non-existant student loan w/ super low rates -oooooo.

Worse, I can't believe there are people out there who will do this kind of work.  

Friend: What do you do for a living?
Telemarketer:  I invade people's privacy and attempt to steal their identity so my boss can then make tons of money before fleeing the country and leaving me without a job.
Friend:  Why would you do that?
Telemarketer:  It's better than flipping burgers.

FLIPPING BURGERS ACTUALLY PROVIDES A SERVICE FOR SOCIETY.  TELEMARKETING PROVIDES NOTHING!  IT IS A DISSERVICE.

The person called at 6:55PM today but I didn't answer it after I realised my mobile was vibrating in my coat pocket on the couch across the room. No message was left. I hate those kind of phone calls and I never answer a call if I don't know the number, including 'Restricted' as well. It's a waste of my time and those callers seem to have nothing better to do with their lives than waste other people's times.

I just received a call from this number at 3:33pm.  Automated message from "Mark from satellite TV company".  This came to my work cell phone which was just issued to me 7 days ago!  No option to talk to an operator or be removed from the list.  The number comes back to Salinas, California and Digitcom Services, a wireless provider.

no msg left also had 3 unavailable calls today. wondering if we all have verizon or not? been geting alot of these types of calls latly

The nerve of these people!  They should be lined up and shot.  I'm so filled with hate right now!  I was trying to rub one out and look who calls... talk about invasion of privacy...

I've received phone calls from this number almost every single day this past month. Got another one tonight, which reminded me to Google it to see if I could come up with anything...

The past 5 times, I've tried to talk to someone... Every single time I've been hung up on abruptly. The very first time I talked to someone, I pretended I was interested, so I could pump them for information.

Scammer: "Hello, my name is <scammer>, would you like to get set up with satellite TV service today?"

Me: "Well, I heard the message, and it piked my interest, so I wanted to find out more about it. What company do you work for?"

S: "DirecTV" and then started to try rattling off more details, to which I cut him off

Me: "But, uh, wh-, HEY! <he stops> No, I mean what company do YOU work for?"

S: "DirecTV"

Me: "Obviously, DirecTV is not paying you to call me. What is the name of the company that provides your paycheck?"

S: "Sir, do you want to get set up with a DirecTV system tonight?"

Me: "Well, see, here's the thing... My number has been on the Federal Do Not Call list since 2004. So, what I *REALLY* want, is to know WHY YOU PEOPLE KEEP CALLING ME!? YOU CALL ME EVERY SINGLE DAY So no, I'd actually like to speak with your supervisor."

S: "<CLICK>"

So, apparently they're telemarketing "DirecTV". I highly doubt that "DirecTV" approves of such tactics, so where do we go from here?? Anyone know anyone there?

I'd like to speak to someone at Digitcom Services and discuss this with them. Anyone friends with any lawyers? We could send Digitcom a subpoena for all the information they have on that number. Maybe we could find a name and address... and go Door Knocking...

Okay. First off, that last line in my last post should have had "sick" in there...

Second, I did a little digging. When you visit Digitcom's website, http://www.digitcom.net, you'll find that they are located in California, and are providing 1-800, voicemail, and a bunch of other telecom services. At the bottom of the webpage, it says "Copyright © Digitcom Services, Inc."......... a search in the California business registry reveals nothing for Digitcom Services, or Digitcom Services Inc either.

A search for Digitcom reveals that there WAS a company called DIGITCOM COMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION (that is at the same location that their website lists, but that the company name has been dissolved since 1996................... There were two other companies that came up under Digitcom as well, DIGITCOM INTERACTIVE VIDEO NETWORK and UNITED DIGITCOM, INC. The first of those two seems to be related to DIGITCOM COMM. CORP., if you do further searches. But the last one appears to be unrelated. Even if the third is related, all three of these companies are not currently 'legal corporations'. DIGITCOM COMM. CORP. and UNITED DIGITCOM INC are both 'dissolved', but the middle one, DIGITCOM INTERACTIVE VIDEO NETWORK, is currently "SUSPENDED"! So, I don't even know if we can consider Digitcom a legitimate corporation in the State of California. That might be cause for a suit right there.

So, I'm going to keep digging and see if I can figure out who's in charge at Digitcom, and get their attention somehow.

Any info or input from any of you would be great.

I've been getting calls from this number for about 2 months now - they have the extreme talent of NEVER calling when we're home.  The caller ID says CORP SRVCS.  The recording I keep getting as a message is different than what people here describe.  It's a male voice saying he's calling to discuss my rising credit card balances and the fact that rates are going up (I don't HAVE any credit card balances!).  He says that it's imperative that I give him a call and then leaves another number.  I haven't tried to call it yet.

Unknown number called me. I don't know anyone in that area. My phone is from AT&T

Hello all. These past 3 days I've been reciving these calls 2 times a day. Also I recived one not just 15 minutes ago. Well I ignored it, and then ANOTHER number called me so I called back both numbers and requested to be taken off of their caller list. (by pressing 1, I didn't speak with anyone)
I'm tempted to call them and have a go at the morons who run that crap but alas.

I received this call and it's just a recording...my cell phone indicates call originated from salinas, ca.

I just got the call also and they did not leave a message even though my voice mail recorded a message left...

6:30 received call from a robot named "Mark" who was interested in introducing us to dish TV.

Oops, forgot to mention it's on a business cell phone; everything is on  "Do Not Call" lists

no, it isn't but wishing it were - you have to add your cell number to the donotcall list at fcc.gov (donotcall)

I hope you contact the Secretary of State Of California - where they keep corporation records, or if no results, perhaps tell the folks at tv station KABC in LA what all you know, have them put camera's in front of the offices of digitcom and see what happens

I hear you!! These scammers don't care who they call or what time they call someone home or cell. I had to fight back and go off on scammers like these. Because the only thing that will get some of them to stop if they know your on to their scams. PLEASE TYPE IN THESE NUMBERS IN THE SEARCH PHONE AREA TO THE LEFT OF THIS PAGE 408-651-8158 & 1-800-657-0562 AND YOU WILL SEE MY REPORTS ON THIS SCAMMER UNDER SWEET40.THESE ARE 2 NUMBERS THAT ANOTHER SCAMMER USES AS WELL.THE AREA CODE 408 IS SALINAS, CA. OTHER PEOPLE MIGHT PUT UP WITH THIS KIND OF CRAP BUT PEOPLE LIKE US WILL FIGHT BACK. TAKE CARE AND GOOD LUCK.
