Ok...  Just traced this call to a cell phone carrier called "DIGITCOM SERVICES, INC." <http://www.digitcom.net> out of Los Angeles.  I called their support number (800-464-5446) and told them that one of their customers was calling me when I was on the do-not-call list.  They said that they will "block that number" what ever that means.

Got a recorded message from "Diane," offering carpet cleaning.  11:52am 5/9/08.  My number is on the federal DNC list.  Pressed "1" to make an appointment, then the line disconnected.

Diane called me also from Carpet Care. On BOTH of my lines. The number now is 603/214-3637. I pushed 1 and asked where they were located. She hung up. The second time they called I pushed 1 and pretended I wanted my carpets cleaned. I am in Fremont. They told me they have a place in Union City.

Got a call at 12:42 from 408.651.8170.  Didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number.  When I listened to the message, it was a cut off recorded message from Carpet Care.  I will follow up with DIGITCOM SERVICES INC.

I was taken aback with this call since this is my first spam call received.  I googled this number (408) 651-8170 and came upon this with all of you.  I again re-registered my cell number on the national do not call list.  Let's hope this company is fined to the hilt.

I actually just got the same call as the rest of you above from Carpet Care.
I too am on the Do-Not-Call list and have been since 2003. I did what some of
the other callers above have done, "Hit #1 to schedule an appointment."  But,
when I got through to the operator I sounded HAPPY, I said, "Oh I'm SO GLAD
to get your call, I've been meaning to make an appointment but don't have
time right now - can I get your number so I can call back to schedule an
appointment later?" - The woman gave me Carpet Care's # (888) 241-6353!!!

I promptly went to the Do-Not-Call List www.donotcall.gov and filed a
complaint.  If you are getting calls from Carpet Care, please make sure
to file a complaint when you get one!  Feel free to use my approach above!!
