I answered their call and said I qualified for an interest rate deduction for all my debt. When I was transferred to an associate, the woman immediately wanted me to verify my identity and provide a telephone number. As our conversation progressed, I grew uncomfortable realizing that she did not give any direct company identification info herself, and asked her what company it was and for a web address. She insisted that we complete the interview first to verify if I was eligible, and that when she forwarded me to my credit card company they would be able to answer all my questions. She kept trying to conduct the interview as I demanded again more company information, and as she clearly couldn't provide it or didn't want to, I simply hung up.

Got a call and was passed to an associate, he wanted my information to lower interest rates on a Visa card, I told him that as HE had called Me I assumed he had my information already. He insisted and I told him that I have never had a Visa card, so he excused himself and said "Well you do have a mastercard!" Again I said that as he had the information I did not need to confirm it. He replied "Well don't you want to lower your interest rate?" I said I would love to once he told me who he is and what company he works for...he very quickly hung up.
I notified my bank and their response was that it was a scam for identity thieves and as long as no information was given no harm was done, however I do resent the fact that these folks are not prosecuted. In fact if I lived in CA I would make a point of tracking the scumbags down myself.

Robo call re lowering your interest rate on credit card. When a live voice comes on & since I'm at work I explained I was answering another's line, there was an immediate hang-up. In other words, these people are time wasters...don't give them any!

Didn't answer phone Caller ID said "CREDIT CARD SERVICES'

I was called at workplace.  Once live body was on the line they were very evasive, would not tell me whom they worked for - what Bank they represented.  They started asking about my credit, income, etc.  I would not answer and they hung up.  I called my Bank - they said call was not authorized by them.  A scam I think.
