Many calls and no one answers . They call three times and leave no message  and continue to call.

I get back to back repeated calls from this number. when i answer they say nothing. I would like to know who this is calling or at least for them to say something when i answer.

This number is Lamar University located in Beaumont, Texas.

How do you know this? And why would they call folks, out of state, at random?

It's actually the number for Lamar University Academic Partnerships. It is a legitimate University, however, if you do not want receive calls from colleges, don't fill out general online forms for a college search, especially do not give your phone number. If you are interested, call the place, or email admissions. These forms that help you "find" colleges don't do what they claim. They send your information to any and all applicable colleges.

I keep getting hang-up calls from this number. I know it's Lamar. I sent them a Facebook message with a screenshot of a hang-up call at 8:00 A.M. on Saturday morning. They are denying it's their number. Shocker. They said, "All of our phone numbers at the University start with 409.880.XXXX."  I'll bet those aren't the only numbers. Nice try, Lamar. You have people calling us on your behalf, and you know it.

It's Lamar University. They call quite often but just checking on how things are going. A bit excessive, but it's rare a college cares enough to even call.

I will also confirm this is Lamar University.  First they left a message, but all other calls (daily) have been hang ups

I never filled any kind of form and they are still calling

They always call me and I have already graduated from college.
