- joe| 1 replyI've received at least 4 times just today from this number.. I'm pretty sure is scam because she said she was calling from IRS and if I don't solve this matter they are going to take action against me, but until I know if IRS call you they will call you for your complete name and they are going to give a 1800 number to call back.. so watch out for this scammer....
- Caller: scam

- KjCalled back after using this website and cussed them out saying not to call back, dude called me back on no caller ID to ask how I knew this was a scam and a fake number, I just answered cussed him out again told him I googled it, and hung up.. No way this is the IRS, you call that hotline and you're on hold for [***] 20 minutes trying to simply ask for an appointment inside an IRS office. Don't answer.. Tell this dude he's fake.

- JET| 2 repliesI received the same call. the guy told me (with his Indian accent) he was calling form IRS and informed me they were just about to issue a warrant for my arrest for tax evasion. He told me that I failed to respond to certified letters priorly sent and that constitutes intent to evade taxes. My allege amount was $25,000.00 plus $23,000.00 for late fees. He offered me a settlement of $26k. He also wanted to know how much I had in the bank. I told him $13.00 in one bank and 4.93 in the order. At that point he was wavering so much that I felt I had command of the situation, I knew it was not IRS. As soon as I told him that because of a particular recent incident, my calls are monitored by the local sheriff department and that was followed by a long silence and a dial tone.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

- Mark WieberI have had my taxes done by a reputable service for many years. The service I use is owned by a good friend, and my wife and I do not have any unusual or illegal issues regarding the IRS. The robot caller from 415-691-6041 does not know your name, your accountants name, or any personal information. They do not even reference a case number you can check with the actual IRS. Even given the obvious, that the IRS would NEVER call you and loose the chance to fine you for extra money, This is purely a lousy scam. Not well thought out and poorly executed. Still, they only need one percent of one percent to make triple my income.

- David Vogel - OregonGot two calls on 11-2 from this "Officer Laurie Mathews" person about three hours apart. Hung up on the first, wasn't home for the second call. She called again today, left same message. Blocked the phone number now. Funny how she always ends her message with "take care". Yeah, right.
