automated message left - incomplete but suggested payments due-
suspected scam

Caller left a message saying she was Officer Julie Smith from the IRS and left a 415 hotline number to call back "before action is taken against you."  This is a total scam - the IRS does not call you - they send a letter and they have a toll free hotline. The agents always identify themselves with their ID number even when you call the IRS. The IRS also does not end their calls with "Take care!"  I received the same call about 3 months ago and it sounded like the exact same recorded message. BEWARE.

I just received the same call. Computerized voice claiming to be Julie Smith............with the Internal Revenue Service .................... ending with take care.
It is a scam!!

I just got a call from 415-742-7491 and had a feeling it was a SCAM!!! If the IRS needs to get in touch with you, they will NOT call you, they will send a letter to your house. Let others know NOT to call this bogus number back. These thieves are looking to scare you so you can provide your credit card or banking information for a bogus payment. They will then take your information and use it to purchase items, open up credit cards, etc.

This looks like a SCAM.  It was just like spf posted above.

Do not understand why government or FBI is not figuring out and punishing these people as it looks like thousands of people are affected by this type of calls.

Received automated message from this number.  Says it's from the Internal Revenue Service.  
The IRS doesn't call people.

Received phone call on Thursday and today that either I or my attorney contact immediately, Am from IRS, make your to call back before an action is taken. Called back immediately goes to voicemail Beware everybody. Need to know who the hiil is he or she?

We just received a phone message from this number and it was a computer voice saying it was the IRS and that we must call back before "action is taken against you."  Scam!!!

Received threatening ph call acting as IRS

Julie Smith leaving a message on hubby's cell that if he does not call back, the IRS will take action. Bye "Julie". Will not be calling you back, scammer.

I got a call from this number today, same message.  I called the number and  no one answered and it eventually just stopped ringing.

Just got a call from "Julie" as well. They've upped their game with a seemingly automated, official-sounding voice.

IRS Scam, when I told them I looked up their number and it was associated  with scams and that I was recording the call, the guy cussed at me and hung up.  I have tried to call them back but they will not answer my calls.

called me saying he is agent john parker with the irs an that he would call me tomorrow !

I got a VM saying it was an IRS officer. I did call back, got a guy (thick foreign accent) who told me I was being sued by the IRS but he needed my Tax ID number before he could give me details on my case. He first asked if I had a lawyer. I said no, I don't give that information over the phone, and I'd appreciate something written in the mail. It was like a lightswitch went off. He got nasty and told me the Sherrif's dept would be at my house within an hour with a warrant for my arrest and I could ask remaining questions then. What? I was suspicious and googled the phone number and saw how many people were being scammed by this. What a low-life degenerate piece of crap! SCAM!!!!

Just got a call and voice mail from this number on 2-3-15 and I called them back wondering why the IRS is calling me. I called the # that called me: 415-742-7491 back and they told me I owed money from 2010-2011 tax years of about $7,000. They then told me that I owed actually since 2004 because I owed $1,000 dollars that I didn't pay every year and told me it came to a little over $11,000. The told me that I would be arrested and sent to prison for like years and that they seized my bank accounts, house, car and all my assets! I did call social security and looked up the phone # on the net and it is all a scam! Please, if anybody gets a call from this phone # or call like this period, please call the IRS or get a hold of them and  report it to them and tell them exactly what happened with any contact info! Need to bring these scam artists to justice!
