A pre-recorded message stating this call was from Social Security Administration and that my SSN was involved in some kind of criminal activity and I needed to call back at 415-742-8094.  The actual recording was very jumbled sounding.

Social Security WILL NOT call you!  They communicate via USPS through normal mail.  DO NOT respond to this caller.  The US Government needs to crack down on these con-artists!
Furthermore, Social Security WILL KNOW your social security number, name and date of  birth so DO NOT succumb to this caller's trickery at all cost!

I received the same message, very jumbled.

They claimed that they were from Social Security - message jumbled.  I did not call them back.

A pre-recorded jumbled message from so called 'Social Security Administration', only they did not reference a reason for the call, just very important that I call them back at 415-742-8094. Social Security WILL NOT randomly CALL YOU.  You will receive calls only if you have been speaking to someone from your local area.
