CTV news did a story on this on Consumer reports. (eCAWS is the company name).
I've received this call many times on my landline and on my cell phone I've never given out my number and never called them back. The best tip of all (my friend told me) press the # sign 6 or 7 times fast and listen for the dial tone. This kicks your number out of the automatic dialer.

Have received calls from this number DAILY!  Recording advises that your current automobile warranty period is about to expire. Also says that it is "Dangerous" to drive without a warranty!  It also says that "this is the second and final warning and that the file will be closed if a call is not returned... "Press #1 To Speak To An Agent".

I have just started the second year of a 'dealership' 4 year warranty.
The caller does not state from which car company or dealer or financial institution they represent?

Note:  TELEMARKETING SCAMS = " Never Press #1 " or else they've got you tagged to a "Suckers List".  I JUST found that out from an Ex-Telemarketer !!

This number called me twice today in 2 hrs.
They left no message

Calls constantly, every time I ask to be removed, they say "They can't remove me".

So I reported the calls the to local police officer and my phone company, that got them to shut up for awhile, for about 2 months, then they started calling again.

I'm really tempted to change my phone number... again

Last time they called - 4th or 5th time, I pressed to get thru to an operator and then pretended I couldn't hear them so they would turn their phone up. Then blasted the phone with a sports marine BIG HORN. I hope that left their ears ringing.

Actually, if you were on the DNCL they wouldn't be calling you, and the government setup the DNCL - and spent millions of dollars advertising it - for that very purpose.

My cell is registed on DNCL - right from the beginning - just recently I have received 4 telemarketing calls.  Even though I dont answer, costs me .20 each time. Getting annoyed.
Going to register on DNCL again, not that it will do much good.

It would be fun to track them down and split their head with a baseball bat. Oh, what a feeling that would be...pure joy!

Got calls from this number on my cell phone. Only answered once and no one was on the other end. I still get the calls. After reviewing this site I now know why not to answer.
