I have been getting calls as well, from 416 000 5876. did not answer. I am with FIDO. It is really annoying when you get these kinds of phone, no body at the other end and no response if you call back!!

Bell user just got a call from this number. Didn't answer. Minutes cost money regaurdless of who's calling.

416-000-5876. Received this number at my cellphone on 20th of February 2009. This is, like, the 3rd time this week that I've received a phone call from the "416-000" series of numbers. Whitepages.com has nothing on this number. And judging by the fact that the last 4 or so reported numbers to this website (800Notes) has been from 416-000 numbers, this is either a scam call or something else equally annoying. Oy vey, stop calling my Rogers cell, yo. Where the hell are they getting my number?

The second call i've got from this number today!! Got a call from another 000 number yesterday. 6th call of this type since Jan 1st. This has only happened since i put my Cell phone # on Facebook, so i'm taking it down and changing the number, i suggest if you're in the same boat, you do the same.

I have a rogers phone and Telus phone.  I got the same call on both providers within 40 minutes. They must be mass dialing because my phones have different area codes.  I answered the one call so I could play
musical tones.  They hung up too quick ;(

I am soo friggen tired of all these friggen car scams!!! They are calling at least once a day!! I am a Telus user in Ontario.. and it's driving me nuts!!! My boyfriend actually got his number changed from Telus and they still called his new number..

Today's number was (416) 000 5876 and yesterday was (416) 000 3465, but I have had ones numerous times from the States.

I got a call from this number as well, I'm using PC Mobile which uses Bell's network. The weird thing is that I just activated this number yesterday. I tried calling it on Skype but it says it's an invalid phone number.

416-000-5876 number called me once or twice a day for the last week now at between 9 and 10.  Very frustrating.  Haven't answered it yet.

I'm a Rogers user and got a call to-day. When I answered no-one was there.

i too have bin recieving these calls, very bothersome when phone is on auto answer when on the road. everyone must call there phone service provider to put a stop to this . i am sure this will effect there future business in many ways

i get this number at least twice a day every day, im with vigin mobile.. im so tired of these telemarket scams

This is the second time I have gone through this with Rogers.  YES...believe it or not, Rogers SELLS your information!!!  I had to complain numerous times in the past for them to ADMIT they had contracted a third party company to contact their customers.  This SHOULD be illegal.  I was a customer with Rogers spending upwards of $5000 a year on my internet, digital cable, home phone and blackberry.  I have since cancelled all services outside of my blackberry...but the MINUTE the contract is up, believe me I will NEVER do business with Rogers ever again.
The fact that they're the biggest telecommunications company in this country and they're selling OUR (the CUSTOMERS) info is so beyond me it's unreal.  The ONLY way to stop this as consumers is to cancel our service with these types of companies to show that we'll not sit back and let them do this sort of thing.

I am also getting these calls during the day. I am a bell customer. My cell phone number is restricted. I'd like to know how they get these cell phone numbers.

- does anyone know if the free pbx software you can get to make your own VOIP server, if it can trace the spoofed caller ids?  I read about it somewhere, but now I can't find the information.

The gist of it was, the software PBX has to track the actual number these jerks are calling from, to connect them to your phone system, so the spoofed caller id is irrelevant!  To me it sounded like a great way to put some of these jerks into legal hot water.  Proof of what they are doing and how they are doing it.  Anyone out there who has tried this?
