Left a message about "important" information on "my credit card debt". Why is this kind of call coming from what seems like a residential number?

Should I contact the police or the CRTC/ FTC? How should I do it? Suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.

I got this message too at 3:46 PM.  on Tuesday May 22, 2012.  They mentioned something about debt.  I deleted it.

I got this call at 09:01pm, May 22, Toronto. I didn't pick up and it continued for 14 ringings. I suppose at a time after 9pm is not a proper time or legit time for marketers to call.

Press 1 then 3 and they will supposedly stop calling.

I didn't listen to the message completely but they are debt consolidator. Some collection agencies are also 3rd party lenders and will consolidate your debts into one massive debt with an interest rate to match.
