Received a call from this number around 5:30 p.m.  Phone rang twice and when I answered it, there was no one on the line.  Probably a new number for those telemarketers who use to use an 800 or 888 number.  Tried calling the number back a few times and only received a busy signal.  No record of number on 411.

received a call, let it ring, no message left.  called back the number using call block and told me it's not a long distance number although 416 is a long distance call from my area. so now call is blocked through my ISP.

What ever business that is, they have no business sense. I get a call from a man who can't speak english very well and asked for the business owner. When I told him that I am the owner he says to me "I don't believe that!" I said who were you expecting? A Man? He said yes. In an angry voice, I told him my name and that I AM the owner of the business then hung up. Telemarketers can be so ignorant. It's either google sales or debit machine sales. Either way!!!!

I'm getting so tired of these calls!! When I asked him who he was he said he was 'RCMP", so I said "so am I". It went on like this for a bit until I slammed the phone down on him. Tried to call back and chew him out further but of course its only a one way line.

This person or company called and when we answered they hung up. What was the sense calling in the first place?

Some dude called asking for the owner. I told him I was the owner and he asked if I wanted a website. I told him I have one and he said it doesn't work. LOL. So i hung up guy had an accent and he was angry.

This number 416-477-2198 called yesterday and asked for the owner.  I (being the Gate Keeper) that's what telemarketers call us said he is not in (which he wasn't) and he say's to me.  Broken english and all, it's the first day of the week and he is not in, I don't beleive you.  lol  can you beleive that.  I told him, yes it is Monday, and no he is not in the office, it's his day off.  Again, he say's you mean to tell me it's the beginning of the week and he's not in, it's his day off.  I don't beleive you.

I told him.  Listen, you will never get through to him, so don't call this number again.

About every three weeks I get a call from 416-477-2198. It originates in Toronto, Ont.   I can hardly understand the guy.  He doesn't identify his company and does not give his name. I suppose I could ask him but I 'm really not interested.

I did ask him where he got my phone number and he said "from your website".  He says he wants to make a better website for me.  I tell him that my phone number is on my website so that customers can call me, not telemarketers, and that I am happy with the website I have and hang up on him.

Going forward, I intend to ignor the call if he phones again.

I got a call from this number at 2:30pm, they asked for the owner and I said he wasn't here, and then he asked who I was, so I told him my name was Jessica and I'm the manager and I could help him, he just kept asking when will the owner would be in. I told him I was unsure, but asked who he was to take a message. He would not give me his name, and then I said well clearly the phone call was not important, and he said to me "now Jessica your being rude!" All I said after that was have yourself a great day and hung up.

Nikki with the east indian accent called about designing a webpage for my business and to optimize it with the search engines like Google, Yahoo and Amazon. I asked her for her company's name a few times and eventually she said her company is Web World Canada based out of Winnipeg. Then I asked why she had a Toronto phone number. She ignored that question and kept going on with her pitch and eventually said she's passing me over to her manager to confirm my sample site, I hung up.

A guy named Kevin told me he was a supervisor.His English was just like like and like...................................

I intend to ignor the call if he phones again.

This number called me 3 times on my toll free number, got no idea what they are on about! Rung my service provider and they just said its telemarketers from Toronto.

this number also rang my phone at about 6:10pm and I am from Australia. Whoever is using this number got too much money and time to do such [***]

Got a call from this number asking for the owner. I said the owners weren't in but please leave me your name & number and I will ask them to call you back.  She said her name was "Lauren" (hardly could understand her) calling from Web World Canada at 855-998-2255.  We get calls like this all the time.  My bosses never call back. ;)

Got a phone call from this number this morning, didn't recognize the number so didn't answer.   They called 3 times and on the fourth time I finally answered thinking it might be important.   LISTEN TO YOUR GUT!    Indian man who can't speak english asked for the owner, he's not in (he's never in --- he's an absentee owner LOL ).  I asked him who is was, and where he was calling me, he ignored me until I kept interrupting and asked him 3 times.    Finally he mumbled something about web design, told him we were happy, not interested.  He kept interrupting, and I hung up on him.  He called back another 4 times so I just let it ring.    Of course, on the do not call list, but that means absolutely nothing in Canada!   I believe it should be a law that your name appears on the call display, not just your number--- you are invading my privacy, I have a right to know who you are, scumbag!

just got a call from this number,couldnt get to the phone in time, tried to call back and got a busy signal, i just posted an add on kijiji looking for work,and half hr later get a call from that number,  just wondering after reading all the comments here, maybe their pulling ppls numbers off work ads or posts, just a thought....

Yes you are correct, that is exactly how they are harvesting the numbers. I doubt they are really located in Toronto though despite the fact that this is a (416) number it is most likely being routed through Toronto possibly even over the internet just like the WINDOWS COMPUTER Scam phone calls and AIR DUCT CLEANING SERVICES. Stay vigilant my friends.

A man with very broken English just called wanting to do a web site for me.,  I told him I am retired and don't need a web site, he hung up!  How do you ever stop these guys???????

just received a call from this #.  After saying "hello" 2x, I had to raise my voice before he responded to me.  I asked if he spoke English as I couldn't understand him too clearly.  I asked him what he wanted and he replied "you" and also didn't like my rudeness.  He asked me if this is how I treated my customers.  He was trying to turn the tables as if I called him.  I ended up, after the 3rd call telling him to f... off and stop harassing me.  Thus far, he hasn't called me back.
