I hate it when they call as if we're friends and I'm expecting their call. Talk about cheesy salesman. This one went on to claim he is a representative of Visa and Mastercard... Covering their bases eh? And they'd like to take this opportunity to extend our current credit limit. LMAO...

Visa has nothing to do with Mastercard and vice versa. So to be claiming to be a representative of both had me wary right away. Then he wanted my CC number along with the expiry date and SVV number on the back. I said one sec lemme go get my card. Then I began laughing loudly into the phone and said, "how stupid do you think we are" and hung up.

That is like them calls claiming to be from Rogers and they've got a deal for us Bell users. Well if they were really a Roger's Rep, they would know I am a Rogers customer. I haven't been with Bell in over 30 years. How old is their calling list? I left Bell to move to Rogers 30+ years ago.

Now my bank has called me to offer me a credit increase, but they know my details and only need my birthdate, email and or voice to verify me. They don't ask for my CC number and its details over the phone.
