Yet another number for CBV /CGC out of Toronto possibly.

These guys are just one of a long line of zombie debt collectors. They never leave messages the debt has no legal standing, they cannot go to court so they dont ever leave a message. They hope to trick you thinking its local or legit.

They might buy a $10,000 debt for a buck that is 5, 10 , 20 or even 30 years old, it is not legally enforceable So what they do is they call hoping to trick/con you into saying something to restart the clock. It could be someone had your number a decade or two ago, they call and claim you owe. Total scam and they know it. A real collection agency has to fall the rules and work to collect. These guys just call millions of numbers a day hoping to find a mark. They are just like the fake IRS, Windows and other scammers.

They never identify themselves and try to get information out of you for their database hoping to scam not only the person they were calling but everyone they call and is stupid enough to answer or call back.

They generate new fake numbers on a regular basis. My guess is they have hundreds of fake numbers. This is just another of their laundry list of numbers

I agree 100%. Just got a local call thinking its important but there wasn't a voice message left, not that stupid! Thank you Call Blocker. Do not answer and if you're dumb enough , you'll search the number and see these *WARNINGS*

CVS is a debt collection company. The most likely scenario is that someone owes money to a company that has sold the debt to the collector. So you may not recognize the organization but they are after the balance of something.
Either way: don't respond because they just keep calling.

Keeps calling me and not leaving a message. Thank you everyone on this page reporting CBV. Let's continue to be vocal about the scams they pull. Hopefully, the RCMP will close them down after the Covid-19 outbreak slows down.

annoying call many times a  day

This company has been calling me for years! For NO reason. I am a student with NO debt everything has been payed off and somehow I get harassed ALL the time. calling from landlines or regular lines, even after 8Pm and before 9am. awful people and also RUDE PEOPLE TO

Well, considering that Canadian Debt collection laws allow calls from 7 am to 9 pm Mon. thru Sat. and from 1 pm to 5 pm Sunday then those calls are legal.  Maybe you should take the time to research debt collection laws in your Province and then use them?

Calls daily and hangs up ... annoying
