This number has called 3 times in the past 2 hours.  Unknown caller is displayed, I don't answer but it's getting quite annoying.  Been receiving calls from this number for the past week.

seems to call each day in afternoon.  doesn't leave message, hangs up just as machine kicks in.  anyone know who they are?

Yes! After bearing through those few calls today without answering, I decided to call them back late at night.
1. To piss them off with a late night call..lol!
2. To see if they have voicemail..and they DO!!
The ladie on the Message named they're company..
They're "The Donor Cure Centre for Artheritis in Canada"
...So, I figure that they've got Telemarketers calling non-stop to ask for Donations or something! LOL! Solved the mystery of the annoying caller! ^_^

Rec'd a call from 416-849-4945 today at 2:11 PM
No answer on pick-up and then they hung up.
I suspected it was a sales call;because I'm on the Canadian "No Call" list I'm anxious to report offenders.
Decided to make a Skype call to the number and discovered that the number belongs to the Arthritis Assoc.
Charities are exempt from the no call list.

Just called and no tone or sound on the other side

called and hung up-did not leave msg on answering machine. how annoying.

I just called them back--it rang and rang-- then answering machine answered. gave them my #-told them to remove me from their calling list!

Calling my business lines 1, 2 and then #3 all with in a half hour.  Looking for the same person.  Strange thing is instead of an UNKNOWN CALLER in the Caller Id name it said with quotations "416-849-4945".  I answered each call from the same person calling from Thunderbay and told them to remove my number each time.  
Probably will call next week again.

I will not even consider any donation unless I have a hard copy in front of me to read and check up on....

I received a call from 1-416-849-4945.  Where the name shows on the caller ID in quotation marks was "4168494945".  The caller was male and said he was the "Arthritis Society".  I don't know what he wanted as I just said "Take me off your list" and hung up.

unknown caller. I assume anonymous calls are from tortured crooked souls and do not respond.may the GODS have mercy on them and their employers

This number is the "donor centre" for the Arthritis Society. I'm not sure if it's actually the Arthritis Society or a segment within a telemarketing firm devoted to raising funds for the Arthtritis Society

I got a call from this number and it had "416 849 4945" in quotations as the Caller ID and then had its number. Naturally, I didn't answer

Multiple calls on any given day recently -- very annoying.  Call can be blocked if you have that feature, though.  I thought there was a legislated quota of calls, but probably charities were exempted from that as well as from the Do Not Call list.  Sigh.

I answered the phone but no one was on the line. So weird.  Called back and it rang and rang and I then hung up.  The Arthritis Society?  I don't think so...  STOP CALLING and I wish there was something we could do about this to get them from calling altogether!

This number was displayed on my phone several times this week.  It's Saturday morning (11:14 a.m.) and they have called again but I pick up the phone.  They tell me it's the Arthritis Society and anyone having an association with them would be called.  They are a charitable organization and they are allowed to solicit even if you are on the DO NOT CALL LIST,  BUT if you wish to be removed from their list they will take you off for 3 years and they give you this confirmation number to hang on to because it will take 1 month before you are removed from their list.  Just remember, they might or will call you back in 3 years!  Gotta love this!

i got a call from this number today.  i answered  and said hello .  a  male voice sounding like chinese spoke  a dozen or so words which i couldnt make out.  the last couple of words  were very clear   "DEAD BY SATURDAY".  I   said  "what"  and they hung up on me.,  i feel they wanted to get off before i  could put a tracer  or whatever.

I believe this to be a scam, had a call quite a while ago it may have been from the same number, they said they represented the Arthritis Society of Canada asked for a donation and my CC number, I refused and I then emailed The Arthritis Society of Canada explaining what happened and gave them my phone number and they actually called and they told me that they don't solicit for donations by phone, so I hope that helps everybody a bit.

been going on for quite sometime now...getting tired of getting phone calls from this number-I answered once and nobody talked. I called the number to see what would happen-Again nothing-Why are they calling?? Thank God its not in the middle of the night.
