Got a call displaying the number 417-449-5100 with no other information.  I answered to hear only dead air for about 15 seconds followed by a beep and disconnection.

about a week this number has been calling me too- I don't answer.. Springfield, mo 417 area code

The number showed up on my caller ID as being from Nixa, MO, yet the automated voice insisted he was calling from Reno, NV. When asked where he was calling from, the voice referred back to the name of the company.

I just got a call from this number but didn't answer. They left no voicemail.

I have received numerous calls from this number(417) 449-5100) the last couple weeks. I have never answered because I don't know the number. Today it became more agressive. Thus far it had called me 4 times today. I finally called the number back to see who answered.  A foreign voice said, "Thank you for calling College Referral on a recorded line. How may I help you?" I hung up.

P.S. They never have left a voice mail for me either.

They won't stop calling and never leave a voice message.

Keep getting calls from this number on my cell phone, where did they get my cell phone number.

I keep getting calls from this number on my cell while I'm at work. I use a phone, other than my cell, to call back. It is a woman that barely speaks English that answers with a simple 'hello', no business name. I told her I kept getting calls from this number and she says, "Thank you for calling us back. This is not a sales call, it is a college referral line and are you still interested...". I stopped her then as I am a 40 something year old professional and have not looked into any type of college referral group. I could hear a lot of talking in the background; it sounded like a call center.
