Reverse lookup couldn't find the number, no message.  Get a lot of calls from nonexistent numbers.  SCAM

They wanted donations for a police affiliated charity. They insisted on me providing a CC #. I told them no, to mail a packet of info.

This number called me and asked me if the head of the household was there, I said that I wasn't sure and that I would check, in the meantime, I asked who was calling and then they hung up.

I don't take calls from numbers I don't recognize, but calls have been bad lately. It's 8:30 at night and I am at work when this number calls me. So I answer with my general "You've reached such and such Sheriff's Department. How may I direct your call?" And as I'm saying that, a guy with a stern voice is asking for me by name, but before I could follow up it registered with him what I said and he immediately hung up. If he were legitimate, the thought that he reached a Sheriff's Department would not have frightened him.

called at 9:14 AM. Did not answer. Did not leave voice mail message. Sounds like scam

Answered that they'd reached the city morgue and they hung up
