Was disturbed earlier last week by someone apparently working for the Fire Dept. He identified himself as Steve, and proceeded to try and sell me on the idea of becoming a booster for the firefighters (??) To my surprise after I had politely said no 3 separate times, the call went silent for about 10 seconds when i heard Steve say "what the [***], [***] [***] contacts at this dumbass job!" and then the call finally hung up. I tried to call back the number and was only greeted by the sound of a fist pounding on the desks. Subsequent attempts to reach back out were promptly met back with me being hung up on. SadQ

i believe steve had call me as well. Was very nasty

I have been called by them at least once per year for god knows how long. They are always relentless in their pursuit of a handout but the most recent call I received really took the cake! I too Spoke w/ Steve and after informing him of the recent passing of my wife he coldly said "oh, wow i sure i hope it isnt too serious" ....he then continued to try and sell me on a 30$ support. Beyond Rude and unprofessional...

Same as the others. Said they were with Johnson City (TN) Fire Department.
I found out that it's a scam. It isn't a fire department at all. It's scammers illegally using the name of the fire department to solicit online transactions where they not only bilk you out of a donation, they have all of your debit or credit card information.
