I just received a phone call from a woman saying that my number was randomly selected to receive $ for paying my taxes on time, being crime free etc, etc. Has anyone else ever gotten some randomness nonsense like this?

it's a scam to get your money did they say u have to pay? They called me stated I was selected for a free government grant, but I had to pay them $200 in order to receive the $7000...I did but no $7000

A lady named Ruth called for my mother, said she had  applied for this US Fed Gov't Grant for $7,000 months ago no payback, for use for education, home remodel, good purposes only.
Left an ID# and 425-296-6178 as a call back number.

Asked for mom's dob, etc.

they have another # also same people  509-492-3857 we was hit with the same thing and after you pay the 200.00 you dont get the 7000.00, they will say the money  is heald up because they want you to pay 400.00 dollars taxs on the money you will get.   hahahaha what a joke since when do you pay taxs  on money you dont have yet? whoops on their part  they just dropped their crack plate!!!!!!!!!!

I received a call from 509.492.3857. The person left a message stating, "the IRS has filed a lawsuit against you, to get more information call  immediately 509.492.3857 I repeat 509.492. 3857". They continue to leave messages. SCAM
