has called multiple times in the last week to my work line, no one there when I answer.

Yea it's a group for "saving money on car insurance" I was being smart [***] and said well you should have that info already right? You're calling me so you know who I am and have my info.

Wish I asked what company he is with and where he is really calling from.

They claim they are an insurance agency working with State Farm and they promise to give you a cheaper quote for your car and rental insurance. They ask you bunch of questions (name, address, date of birth, driving history) which insurance companies normally ask however they don't send your quote by email after the call. It is most likely a scam / identity theft type of call. Not sure what they can do without your SSN number though.
