I was getting at least a call a day.  I have an air horn.  I did blow that in their ear a few times.  If I'm in my car and get one, I answer and when they come on the line, I scream as loud as I can and then hang up.  I rarely get calls now.......

got 2 calls from this number today (so far).  Did not answer.

My new favorite thing to do to them is to get to a person, then dramatically whisper "I did what you said, now how do I get rid of the blood?".  Had one guy going for quite awhile before he hung up.  I hope he has nightmares for days!  Cue the evil laugh!

Received a call from this number, did not answer, no voice mail message left

This number was calling me daily.  I finally answered it to see if I could get it to stop.  Kept the caller on the phone for 45 minutes, I had him watching TV with me, I ordered Chinese food and asked if he wanted any.  Just wasted their time to see how long before he hung up.  Put the phone down on the couch and sent about my business, occasionally returning to ask if he was still there.  Sure enough he was!!  After 45 minutes I laughed and told him he's wasting his time because I don't even have credit cards and I was only performing a public service by wasting his time and he started swearing at me, calling me some very foul things and then hung up.

from seeing some of the posts here, i am bummed that I wasn't able to answer when they called.  I love having fun with these lowlifes.

What if the numbers you made up actually belong to someone else? Wouldn't you feel bad if that person got scammed? Seems to me it would be better to tell the person to go to hell and just hang up.

Get multiple calls a day that I do not answer and they don't leave a voice mail ,gets old real fast!

You can't just "make up" a credit card number. Every one conforms to an algorithm that immediately identifies it as a credible or an impossible series. You CAN, however, google "fake credit card numbers" and get one made up for you on the spot that will pass the algorithm test. Once you have them on the hook, waste as much time of theirs as you're willing to waste of yours.

Again, NEVER give these scammers ANY true information. Stumble, repeat yourself, make them wait while you go in another room to get your invoice or cards, answer the door, discuss with spouse, etc.

There seems no surefire way to make them stop calling, since they make (steal) incredible sums of money when they get a new "customer" (chump).

Thanks for that info!  I didn't know there was a way to scam them back.  I just may try using a fake one sometime!

I have received numerous calls from this number but never answer.  They hang up when the answering machine clicks in.
I will block this number from now on.
