It came through as a text looked like a bill collector or something, shouldn't texters be required to identify themselves?

I received a text message from +1 (438) 796-3426 asking me to call 18663878751  and quote a reference number. They have my name but I have no idea who they are or what they want. This can't be legit. Texting is not a way a professional organization communicates.

Keeps calling leaving msgs. Won't say what it's regarding.

I received the same message from 7 different texts in 5 minutes. It's ridiculous and obviously a scam.

Recive text messages from this number and a few others telling me to call them and reference a number but doesn’t say what it is for or about !  I have blocked other numbers saying the same thing and a new number txts me !  I’m thinking this is a scam!   I’m not calling if it’s that important of a matter they can send me something in the mail !

Keep texting me from different numbers telling to call and reference a number. I'm not even the person they are looking for! I think I've blocked 5 numbers by now.
