Called my cell phone at 7:35pm on 02/01/08...answered the phone for some reason, i guess i was curious.  The called lasted about 6 seconds, i said hello and whoever it was just hung up.

how odd is this.  at 8:51 central, I got a call from this same number.  I didn't answer.

What is more odd is that your from iowa...i presume from your name, and im in nebraska weird wonder if different numbers target certain areas

call came at 8:31 PM Mountain time, [***]. Don't know who...

I was called two minutes before you. I didn't answer and no message was left. From what I have seen this number is from The Philippines.

Not sure who this is, but the number that came through on my phone was actually 442-074-364255, I am guessing a foreign number. Cam in at 8:05. I never answer these weird ones. As for targeting a certain area, doesn't look like it, I see Texas, Colorado, and Nebraska, Iowa and I am in Oregon.

Did a further search, area code 442 is Cali, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Area_code_442

I got the call from something similar. 44-207-436-4255 this is in London. If you go to www.phonefinder.com they can track down what country the call was placed from. Got the call at 8:29 PST.

Got a call from 44-207-436-4255 at 8:40 pm. It looks to be a number from London. Luckily I missed the call.

i'm in montana and got the call at 8:16 mountain time.  nobody got a message or spoke to the caller?  hmm.  442074364255.  annoying...

8:50 pm I got the call and they left a blank voice mail. It came in on my cell and I also have my cell number on the do not call list....

Wonder if its Verizon giving out cell numbers to other companies?  What company  you guys go through?

it was 442-074-364255....

no message was left.....

Got this same call - didn't know who it was so didn't answer. It appears that this was the correct way to handle this call. Is this a new scam??

Got a call from this number at 8:58 p.m. EST on February 1, 2008. I'm in North Carolina and I have Alltel.

I screen my calls so I didn't answer. It doesn't seem like whoever it is had anything to say anyway. What's the point? It has to be a scam.

I got a call from 44-207-486-8739 at 9:50am CST on 2/6/08 and out of curiosity picked up the phone to see what it was. I had to either dial 1 to continue or 2 to stop receiving these phone calls. I dialed 1 to see what would happen. They said that they could lower my credit card interest to 6.99%. He started asking about my credit card balances and if that was on 1 or 2 cards and said in order to get the credit cards lowered we would have to have a three way call with my bank that holds the credit card. All we would need to do is get the 1-800 number on the back of the card.  At that time my curiosity stopped and knew if I started giving info out I would not be helping myself.  So I said I don't feel comfortable doing so and I am going to discontiue this call. So he got a little rude and said ok then I guess you will just keep your credit cards at a high interest rate, then we hung up.  I hope this helps anyone out there. Do not go through with the phone call.
