Okay i got this call while at work and did not answer it. I assumed it was an out of country call. Thanks to this site i know better.

I just recv'd a call frm 442-074-367245 but i didn't answer it as well.

hey i just got a got from this # too.  you said on your comment "now you know better" bc of the site, but i cant find anything on the site that says who it is thats calling??  im confused....who is this?

Just got the same call... seems like a lot of people being hit by the same number within the past few hours, on 1-29-07.

I just got the phone call right now on my cell phone. When I answered, a computerized voice said that I was driving without insurance because they were canceling my policy, & that this was dangerous. It then gave me the option to hit 1 to talk to a representative, or 2 to end the call. I obviously hit 1, to inform them that they had a wrong number. When a male answered, he asked for the make & model of my car. I told him "Hi, I think you guys called me by mistake. I don't even have a car," & they hung up on me at exactly the 1 minute mark.

weird. i got a call from them 6:20 est but i didn't call. i know 442 is in so cal, and im all the way across the country, so i didn't pick up... but now i know its a spam call. "i dont even have a car." haha. i don't even have a permit.

I would like to know who this is.  The number concerned me because how many digits and I also thought that this was out of the country.  Once I kept refusing to answer questions, and asked how they got my information and what company they were from -- she hung up.  

They must have gotten all of our information from the same company.  There must be a similarity-- good luck everyone.

This is a company or number that is a fraud.  Please research and remove

I just got a call from that number, but missed the phone.  Kinda wish I got to talk to them... hah.

I go this call at 7:36pm central time on 01/29/2008, and I just filed a complaint to the FTC/FCC via the https://www.donotcall.gov/ website.

It is a company that states you are without a warranty on your vehicle or that it is about to expire.  DO NOT BUY an extended warranty from this company.  It is a scam!!!!  I work at a dealership and pressed one to tell them to take me off their mailing list.  When i told the lady that called, she said for me to hold on (after i told her where I worked too...) and she was listening to me talk to another co worker who said that they are usually just a buisness started in a basement just scamming people.  She hung up right after that.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!  If you cant trace the number, there is a reason for that!

I received a call from 442-074-367245, Tuesday evening, January 29, 08, at 7:04 pm EST on my cell phone. I did not answer it. Also, I thought it unusual that it had 12 numbers, rather than the standard 10 numbers which made me think that perhaps it was an "out of country call" from my son who is serving in Iraq. However, he would have used the house phone, land line, for that purpose. The FCC must must be aware of the company that owns this block of phone numbers and, therefore, to whom this particular number has been assigned.

Yup, just got a call from 442074183358 and gave me the same deal about "auto warranty information", I pressed one but while it transfered it hung up on me, kinda makes me nervous

Oh boy!  I have been getting these 442 #s a couple of times over the past few weeks and have not bothered to pick up because the #s looked fishy.  I finally had enough of it and tried to google the 442 and found this site!
