Robo call stating it is United Healthcare.  Said my name, wanting a yes or no response.  I said nothing and robo asked for me to call their toll free number. I did not call.  Put number on my block list like all their other numbers. No thanks.  If it is important, send me a letter.

Same call today here in AZ. Blocked.

Caller used my name and said they were United Health and my Provider had ordered some tests and for me . To arrange tests call another tel# having my Iinsurance Card ready, plus other  information.

Called me on 7/18/2917 at 3:20 PM. The Caller ID says Victorville, CA. The caller left a voice message of which the beginning is missing, so I don't know who the caller is or who the call is for. They left 2 phone numbers and thanked me for 'passing this message on'. Pass it on to who? Who is it from? If it is important then send me a letter or call my contact person. I am almost deaf so I rarely answer my phone unless I know the caller. My medical records state this, and has instructions to call my contact person. I am assuming that, as stated in previous messages left here, that the caller is United Healthcare, but I could be wrong!

Called United Healthcare and they told me it was a valid UHC number, but responded to the rep answering any questions she had.  My incoming call showed it was "spam".  UHC rep did not know any reason they would be calling me.

I'm insured thru UHC, and it wasn't until I looked up this "unknown" number that I realized that was the number they called from on 7/13/2017 and left a recorded message, "This is United Health Care calling for (andyaz). We need to gather some important information from you. Please call back 24 hours a day 7 days a week, toll free at 1-844-953-8910". I had to change insurers this year, and chose UHC, thinking that such a big company would know what they were doing and I wouldn't experience the many glitches I've endured the last several years.  Thought wrong, WAY WRONG! They have f**ked up everything they touch, so even tho I'm sure the call was from them, I'm VERY reluctant to call back. I just don't think I can take any more. They refuse to communicate by normal email due to their misguided and overly cautious interpretation of the HIPAA regs, but their secure MESSage board really is a total mess, and their phone "support" is a lesson in abject frustration.

No, the problem is UHC. I have received really messed up calls from them, including one when they were partying.  Sometimes the laughter and party noise drowned my person speaking, most of the time she got so distracted she couldn't finish her sentence and forgot where she was in her script. After several minutes I was fed up and hung up.

Suspicious that this is a perfect way to get gullible people on the phone giving vital information (social security #s, etc).  I received 2 phone calls, 1 from Victorsville,CA & the other from Sacramento, CA. Why wouldn't they call from a  regular well-published toll free UHC #?  Blocking these #s. And to the previous comment re having to call & speak with UHC customer service-agh-yes, not favorable!

UHC told me that, like the IRS, they will NEVER call to gather information. The guy basically implied that anyone who responds to the scammers who hijacked their number are a bunch of boobs...I totally agree. I don't answer these callers and the area code is blocked.

This ia a robo call. I hung up and immediately got another call. I agree with other posts. Any attempt to communicate with UHC is a total frustrating angry inducing experience.

Caller ID from Victorville, CA  Message on answering machine . "This is United Health Care calling for (xxx). We need to gather some important information from you. Please call back 24 hours a day 7 days a week, toll free at 1-844-953-8910".   It's all "blah blah".  These pests are blocked.

My Mom has Optum which is a division of United Healthcare. I get robo calls from 442-953-8910 that ask me to call United back about important something or other and the number they leave is 844-953-8910. Neither of these numbers seem to be posted on United Healthcares website. I'm sure mom has gotten this call too. Hopefully she didn't give them too much info!

I have been in daily contact for weeks, and fairly common contact with Mom's (and formerly Dad's) case manager and never remember to ask her about these calls. I'm pretty sure that whatever this number "needs" to know so urgently is total BS, as United is well aware of a ton of info about Mom and her needs.

I'm not calling them back, ever.

Legitimate call from United Health Care, called customer service they verified call.

Legitimate United Healthcare call.  I received a call from 442-242-9555 saying they were from United Health Care and had a few questions.  I called the toll-free number on the back of my insurance card.  The customer service rep called the number I gave her (844-953-8910) and said it was legit, it asks several health questions to determine if there were any issues I might like more assistance with.  I recall receiving a letter from them in the mail with a phone number to contact them regarding the same.  I opted not to reply or call because it appeared that it is for people who have issues where they need extra assistance; perhaps diabetes control, help in the home, etc.  I am healthy and independent and didn't need anything.

So, from you post you say you received a call that claimed they were from United.  You then called the number on the back and allegedly verified that this was a legitimate call.  Yet after all that you took the time to look up the number to post just how legitimate it was.  What was the purpose in that?  If you knew the call was legitimate why would there be a need to look up the number on the internet?

Caller ID says Victorville, CA..left long message on answering machine...claims to be United Health Care "needing information from me"..call back on toll free number 24/7.   Not going to happen.  Block 'Em Dano
