WELLCARE RECORDED CALL ASKING TO CALL BACK FOR IMPORTANT INFO.

As with Wayne, above, that was the content of the call. On the other hand, the recording kept trying to get me to say "yes;" Crooks are doing this now so they can record you saying that word, charge you for something, and claim later that that "yes" was your assent to the charge. Besides, I can think of no legitimate reason for Wellcare to be calling me out of the blue. If they have a form they want me to fill out, that's what snail mail is for. Smells like a scam to me! Plus, I have several telephone numbers for them, and this one isn't one of them.

Please cite one reliable news article, where a simple yes has been used to scam someone, I bet you can't.

I do have Wellcare BUT I am NOT interested in their sales pitches !
I've told these pests before to STOP CALLING !
Now I think I'll file a complaint with my phone company !

Said from Wellcare and asked if I was who I was, wanted to give some important info. The weird thing was when the call came in the caller ID said Scam Likely. I went ahead and took that as a warning...

There have been many posts in this very forum on this very subject, as well as elsewhere. Google it.

It's a bona fide organization called "WellCare" now. It's not a scam! People have 2 options to either hang up the phone call or call them back. It's so easy to get out of the dire situation that you put yourself in now . . . LOL !

I get calls.from WellCare frequently, but never in this area code. There are so many scams now, and it seems they are finding new ways to perpetuate them all the time, so I will continue to exercise extreme caution. Caller ID didn't say it was WellCare, I had to Google it and found all this. Sorry Yoda, but I have to agree, getting a recording of someone saying yes could be a new way of stealing something from those who aren't dilligent, and are much less wary. These days it pays to be less trusting. With as much junk snail mail as WellCare sends out, they can stop with the harassing phone calls if this is indeed WellCare.

This is a legitimate call from Wellcare with questions pertaining to our wellbeing and
if they and our doctors are doing a good job and if help of any kind is needed, whether
mentally or physically.     These are good people doing a good job.   This is not a scam.

August 18 2020 received a call, did not answer. They left a message stating they were from WellCare and needed information from me and to call back the this same number. I contacted WellCare and they have NO RECORD of anyone calling me. Please be extremely careful. My identity was stolen years ago and they stole with interest and attorneys fees over $79,000.00 from me.

Received a call from this number, stating it was well care.  Called back as they requested.  Asked for yes a no answers.  I used key pad to answer.  Asked for my #, that they called me at? Typed in number.  Stated that they have no information for this number.  Scam caller.  Nothing to do with WellCare.
