Did you ever get another call? I Received a call that I didn't answer telling me to call that number. When I called it back it was busy. The call I received told me I would be served papers and needed to call that number if I had questions.

I got a call with no caller ID, which I didn't answer. There was a voicemail message from a woman saying her name was Leanne and she's been tasked with serving me with some legal documents.Said she'd be coming to my residence the next day, and if she's unable to reach me she will be forced to serve me at my place of employment. If unable to reach me either location it'll be documented as a "refusal to comply" and I'll "miss my court date". She left this phone number to call back, and referenced a case number. I tried calling this number several times with my outgoing phone number blocked and only got a busy signal. I finally tried it again without blocking my number and the call went through, this time to voicemail for an Arthur Pittman. He does not list the name of his organization in the voicemail message, however. The whole thing seems awfully suspicious.

They're coming tomorrow to "serve me papers" lol.
I hope he brings pizza too. Think the name was Jake but he mumbled like a drunk so not sure. Anyway it's all BS. I'm unemployed anyway so don't care about these [***] even if real. Please come tomorrow. Thanks. They read these posts you know. Stop mumbling when you leave voicemail Jake or John or Jack. Are you guys hiring? I'm still one of obama's kids. He destroyed Florida. No jobs here. Are you hiring debt collectors lol. I can pretend to serve papers for minimum wage.

Yeah baby! It's a scam! I mean....honestly...who does that bit anymore?! "We've got someone about to serve you legal papers baby, yeah!"
It's old hat baby! Been done and worn out in the early 90s. Everyone knows it's a ruse baby, so get a new bit going if you want to get any money.
So, in a nutshell, your "legal process" scare tactic is old news baby! It's not 1993 anymore. America knows that bit is poppycock baby! Debt collectors are completely powerless in many states, including Florida...a state where civil lawsuits are meaningless.

There was a voicemail message from a woman saying her name was Lesley and she's been tasked with serving my deceased mother with some legal documents.Said she'd be coming to my residence the next day, and if she's unable to reach me she will be forced to serve me at my place of employment. If unable to reach me either location it'll be documented as a "refusal to comply" and I'll "miss my court date". She left this phone number to call back, and referenced a case number.  I called them back and told them this was not funny and they said it was none of my business.

Ok, if she has "legal documents" for someone other than yourself, then why would she be serving them on you?  This is nothing more than a criminal extortion ring.

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.
