United Health Care home health care. They want to come to your house and tell you how to live healthy. I allowed it one trip. Ridiculous exam. It was more like an exam of my house. Will not be back.

ID displayed as United Health Care. Solicitation for home health. Robocall. DNA.

I have United Healthcare and every year they come out to my house give me a check up and advise on keeping myself healthy. This is legit and not a scam. They also give me a free gift every time they come out. Cost me nothing.

Caller ID said Elkridge MD. Said it was on behalf of United Healthcare wanting to do an in home visit. "On behalf of" doesn't mean you're UHC. I don't even have UHC. Like I'm going to let you in to case my house. Go kick rocks.

I reported UHC about these calls. That # is not theirs. This has happened more than once.

Consider this:

Oftentimes this "exam" is used to "diagnose" you as sicker than you really are. This allows the insurer to bill Medicare extra, often for services you don't need. If you value Medicare, which you should, don't enable this sleazy behavior. I personally have a doctor with my health plan whom I like and trust and I get a thorough exam from her every year.  I don't need anyone coming to my house for a needless "examination."

Some insurers have been taken to court by the Federal Trade Commission for exactly this kind of dodge.

They called previously to set up a House Calls home visit with a $50 VISA gift card for completing the exam. I've done this before with House Calls under my UHC Medicare Advantage insurance.

The call today FROM this number was a woman mentioning my name and leaving a message saying that due to "scheduling issues" my appointment was cancelled. The fact is that with the earlier caller 2 weeks ago, appointments weren't available in my area for the time frame I needed it.

Yes, I know House Calls is legit, but I don't know if these are scammers falsely claiming to be House Calls. I'll be calling UHC direct to report the incident in case it's a scam.

Said they want to do a house exam. Heard a dog barking in the background. Don't fall for this scam.

It's not free, they charge Medicare which results in high health care charges which ultimately comes out of your pocket.

While what you say is probably true, since "M diver" posted nearly 2 years ago (as shown by the date under their name), it is very unlikely they are ever going to read going to read your post.

CID says "UHG XLHealth".  Calls constantly, usually about twice a day. Today the guy or possibly the woman that left a message could hardly put three words together without taking a breath. The message they left said they ARE calling from United Health Care. They are NOT. I called UHC several weeks ago and verified.  Secondly, why would I do business with somebody who lies on their first interaction with me?

"House calls" keep calling, no message.  Another scam most likely.
