Exactly what just happened to me. As soon as I said "hello", the caller hung up.

This call is because you or another person in your household is a United Healthcare Medicare Advantage member. They have been calling my mother for about a year now, trying to get her to schedule an in home clinical visit. This visit includes a review of medical history, a physical exam which entails vitals, urinalysis, etc (have no idea what more they could do in that setting), performed by either a nurse practitioner, md or osteopath; all at no cost. My mother isnt a shut-in who needs this kind of attention and though it ideally could be a good thing, I don't like that this is an unsolicited call...we all are suspect of those for good reason, so I can't understand why UHC would conduct business this way.

I have UHC too.  They call me all the time and it is very annoying.  I am 50 and disabled but I am quite capable of taking myself to the Dr if need be.  I have told them time and again to leave me alone and stop bugging me but the calls continue.  If they don't stop I will find a different insurance.  I didn't sign up with them to be pestered incessantly.  Oh and I get crap from them in the mail several times a week too.  What a waste of paper and government funds.

UHC . Same here . ROBO CALL . They will call for months before leaving a final message saying something like, This will be the final call . blah blah blah . making it sound like they are doing you a favor.  I called UHC in 2013 & told them to stop calling & that I do not return unsolicited calls for the obvious security reason ( duh! )  HOWEVER, in 2013 UHC was using a different number for this same call.  Regardless this is Sneaky & Careless, especially since they are a Health Insurance company.

They usually call me 4-12 times a month asking for my mother since we share a cell phone, they claim to be from Medicare home something, asking for information and to set up a visit, we both have Medicare they already have our info and why would they need it if they already have it on file, as well its not medicares number. Furthermore they call early anywhere between 5am-11am twice in a row if no pick up. Then again in the afternoons twice. Told them if we want to set up a home care thing with them we will call the Medicare number directly not through a random number, the last time we set up a in home consultation through the insurance it really screwed us on numerous things and messed up a lot of our coverage and other such things. I am seriously annoyed and about to sue them for the constant harassment. They call 4-12 times a day every other day for months then give it a rest for a couple months then start back up, been going on for almost 3 years.

I just received a call from this number.  Identifying themselves as United Healthcare Medicare.  Wanting to schedule an in home visit.  Small problem, I don't use this health insurance Co.  And I'm not on Medicare.  I don't understand why they're calling me.  I've had my phone number for over ten yrs.  This is absurd.

I've received this call on my home # and cell #.  We don't belong to United Health Care.  It was a robo call both times.  At least I can block the # on my cell.

I didn't know who this caller was until I read the comments and I thank you for them, but this number has called me 9 times in one month and never leaves a message. Very annoying!! You would think after that many tries they would give up.

This phone number called my cell and appears to have a foreign voice - asked for some lady and even though I told him
he has the wrong number continues to talk even though I repeated you have wrong number so the third time i stated
very loudly you have wrong number and so I hung up on him.

    Suspicious Dude
I am highly suspect of these calls. These are third party vendors AT BEST and with this bamacare thing going would not trust them further than I can spit.  I pay my premium and they can contact me by USPS mail.  This is EARNED insurance not entitled insurance.
If I need them I will call the number on my card. They also use numbers known to be used by scammers.  I'm not talking to anyone with a, "middle eastern accent," who is not a personal friend. I would advise elderly about these calls. If UHC is subbing these calls out they are hiring extra people who probably call from their home and send information to who knows what agency to be used against you. It also ups the insurance premiums.

I have two different number that they use but both say Housecalls. Over a yr. ago I did get a call from my insurance carrier stating I could have someone stop in and check on me blah blah. I ask why just so they could bilk the insurance companies out of some more money. So they continues to call but I won't answer and just like now they would hang up when the machine picks up. Harassment.

Just more harassment calls. My HMO called and left a message that I couldn't understand due to my answering machine wearing out. They have now sent me a letter with a number so I can call them. Jail time, fines and being forced to give up the right to ever use any type of electronic equipment such as computers, smart phones, etc.Call at all different times of the day into the evening.

These people are a constant pain in the tush. If I had wanted their services I would have responded to their letter. How do we make it clear? The person on the phone certainly needs more training. Hem hawing. How illiterate they come across.

Call  starts as a Robo call  with some message to the effect of we have important info from your health care provider,  then  'please stay on the line for the next available person'   then you hear the inane music......   (hung up at this point)

They also used  443-492-2800 about 10 days ago.   I guess they vary  their tactics more this year
