Elkridge, MD - didn't leave message - blocked it

The woman who phoned might have been legit and from United Healthcare as she stated (fyi; insurance companies have all of their client's updated health records, and etc. they update their records from insurance claims they receive).  BUT she could have been a scam artist using an app or going through a web site (app/web site; enables a scam artist to use legitimate business names and or person's names and their legit phone numbers. scam artists also record a person's voice to try to use in some sort of a scam) to try to obtain personal info from the person she was asking for.

I heard a story this week about a lady in her 80’s who received a phone call from Medicare – well, the caller said he was from Medicare. The caller was very pleasant and said he needed to update this senior’s Medicare information. The conversation went on for a minute or so, and then the caller asked for the lady’s bank account information.  The lady immediately knew this was a scam and told the caller, “I made be old, but I’m not out of it!”.

Didn't leave message.

Called from this number, but left another number to call. (Robo-Call)
I called this 443 number, and it was United Healthcare.
The robo-call said to call a 1-800 number.
Even if not a scam, a silly way of doing business.
If you get one of these calls, call United directly.
If you opt out of robo-calls, I was told I would be put on a Do Not Call list, and would get no calls to update my account.
Bed way to do business.
Plus, all calls are recorded, "for quality control only,"

Several calls, no message left. Put on block list.

This might be UHC but I take no chances. They were told not to call my cell phone EVER. I don't ever answer calls on my cell from numbers not identified or not on my contact list.

Several calls. Check messages and nothing there ☹️🤔 being I don’t and have never searched ins companies, I blocked them to err on the side of caution.

thank you for the info..  All my caller ID showed "Elkridge, Md.'. I have  UHC and they are getting to be a pain with the phone calls.

My  caller ID showed Elkridge, Md. I did not answer and no message was left. I recently learned that this us United Health Care calling.

I keep getting these calls from this number. I answered and the caller had a heavy Indian accent and claimed to be from United Healthcare. When he gave his name as Charles and the second time I answered, he gave his name as Henry. I knew this was a scam.
