This number (appeared as ‘Scam Likely’) called me claiming that they were Janet from Blue Cross Blue Shield, regarding my healthcare insurance and texted me that it was bound to expire soon, and that they wanted to schedule an over-the-phone appointment to resolve the issue

I have this number constantly texting my phone.
They start the message off by calling me Oleksandr then proceed that they are from Aetna and their records indicate that I'm due for something. I don't open the message fully because who knows what could happen if I did.
Anyways I'm neither this Oleksandr person nor do I have anything to do with any company they say they represent.
It could be that my number was mistakenly put into their system but more than likely this is a scam.
If you receive messages that look suspicious, don't open them. Either do more research and call the place they claim their from directly or just block the number and delete the message. That's what I did. Stay aware and stay safe everyone.

Forward unwanted spam/scam texts to 7726 (SPAM) and let your phone service provider deal with them.
That number was set up by the phone companies to combat spam/scam texts and they can shutdown offending phone numbers.
Never reply with "STOP", scammers will not honor the request (they have no honor to begin with) and it only verifies that they have texted to a valid number with a person who reads their texts.  It will not STOP the texts and may actually make them more frequent.
Never click on a link in such a text as it may cause malware to be inserted on your phone, and even if it does not, just as with replying "STOP" the scammers will know they reached a valid number.
Do not repost any links included in the text message to public sites such as this one.  It may subject others to malware if they click on it or, in some cases, it may reveal personal information posted on the target site of the link.
