Received a call from 214-736-7766 (Legacy Exploration on Caller ID) but the caller identified himself as Ron Maynard and wanted to talk to my boss. When I said he wasn't available, he asked for his cell phone number even though I also explained that he's in a meeting and wouldn't answer it. When he left his number (the one I'm reporting for this post, 469-283-1109), I asked why he was calling. All he said was that he wanted to talk to my boss about a new development project--which isn't entirely suspicious for my job, but after I googled the phone numbers and company name, I'm pretty suspicious. And annoyed.

This Ron Maynard called for our president but didn't even have his first name right, he just left his number and said he's from Legacy. After googling his name and number it seems pretty fishy.

Still using those two numbers - Ron Maynard, check, 469-283-1109 check,  214-736-7766 check. Calling about a "project". Thanks others for reporting. Y

This same call just came in for my boss as well.  He said the development project in question is called RC-2C.  Phone number 469-283-1109.  When you do this kind of job (EA) long enough you get a sense for the calls that are "real", and this one was off enough for me to Google it.  Happy I found the messages above.  Thanks all!

"Ron Maynard" just called to speak to the owner of our company. I told him he wasn't available and when I asked what the call was regarding, he said he had a project he wanted to discuss with the owner. Glad I checked Google and was sent here. Nice try Scammy McScamerson!!

Call to ask about a project

Ron just called the office today from the same number.  He wanted to talk to my boss about a "Developmental Project"..."   Suspicious of scam...  and Yes, I'm glad I Googled the number.

A man called who said that he was Ron Maynard. The number he called from was 214-736-7766 which came up as Dallas. He asked to speak to the president of the company in regards to an investment. He has called several times before over the year, to ask our owner to invest in oil stocks. He gave a call back number of 469-283-1109. The whole thing feels like a scam.
