Got this call at 1:30am, luckily I didn't answer.  We are on ATT

I'm Verizon also call came in at 1:47 I missed it didn't call back.  Then I looked up this info and found I'm not alone!

Same here 3 and 5am tried to call back but got an international decline then I searched the number and found all this wonderful news here. Verizon you money hungry a $$ h () #! Are no better than the scammers pulling this carp!!!!!!

The messages are very helpful.  I recieved a call around 1:00 from that number.  I did not answer.  But, I did not kow if this was friend.  How did these people find our telephone numbers?  

Got the call at around 2am last night, it rang twice and then stopped. I thought it was a wrong number, so I didn't bother calling back. Glad I looked this up though, it's very helpful. I'm AT&T. Interesting that all of us got calls around the same time on the same night...

My husband received the same call around 1:30 this morning.  Rang twice and hung up.  He figured it was a wrong number so ignored it,  

It does not have a country code, (usa is +1 then the number), so I doubt it costs international rates.

No, Sheryl, it's not just Verizon customers. I got the call about 1 am PST,and I'm on AT&T.  The phone identified the source as Grenada. Area code 473 is the local telephone area code of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

I got the call at about 2 a.m. mountain time. Sorry to say I did call it back, when I told my wife she called it also. I can just image what this is going to cost me.

I think it was answered because it shows up already on my "calls" list with verizon.  And yes it is a scam.  I've found that there are several 473-520-9*** numbers being used and they are scam calls.  the number doesn't appear to be foreign, no 1 in the front, same form as used here in the USA.

Here are the numbers that are from Grenada.  Turns out lots of people have been scammed. Watch for numbers like these: 473-520-9976 · 473-520-9570 · 473-520-9784 · 473-520-9472 · 473-520-9728 · 473-520-9772 · 473-520-9764 · 473-520-9776 · 473-520-9748 · 473-520-9757.

They called me over n over lastnight.....around midnite

I received two calls...one on  12/26/13 @ 11:30 pm mst and the other 12/27/13 @ 12:30 am mst. I'm verizon.

These could be VERY expensive calls that you returned to these scammers.There is always a remote possibility that your phone provider will waive the charges if you explain the circumstance, but don't count on it, based on the experiences of others who have been stuck with the calls, seeing you did dial them yourself. The area code these lowlifes use, is done purposely to confuse the recipients of the calls. If you have to pay for the calls, you won't be the first, or last one to be ripped off. At least it's a lesson learned--and don't forget to warn others, before they're taken advantage of. Again, good luck!

PLUS, whatever other charges the scammers have built into the call. In ways, similar to what some legitimate charities do during telethons --dial this number to make a $25, $50, $100 etc. contribution. The charge appears on your phone bill but the person who set up the number gets the majority of the funds.

Callyou phone company. Mine to me I would not be charged. Call your provider or it will cost you 250 dollars.
