    On their answering machine: "This is a fundraising office of the United Police Fund." They called me on Sunday around noon.

    To start, unless unless your State has stricter limitations on phone calls, they can call you from 8 am to 9 pm your local time.  So, noon on Sunday is annoying, but permissible.

    The United Police Fund is a 527-organization (think lobbyists) and on their website they state they are an "Issue Advocate for Police" and have "no interest in Political Candidate support".
    Although (some of) the money donated to them may (in the long run) benefit Law Enforcement Officers, none of it goes directly to supporting them.
