The call was from Pure Alternatives, dealing in skin care products. My job, if I chose to accept it, was to draw people to their products. This must have been the third or fourth try on their part. This time I answered the phone. I declined their offer.

But why are they even calling? I'm on the No Not Call list! Or I thought I was. A week ago I reapplied for Do Not Call, this time through the Federal Trade Commission website.

They have called 6 times and usually at night or on the weekend! Ugh, annoying! It always goes to voicemail because I'm unavailable, but no message.

Caller ID displayed "Private Name 114802699441". I answered the call and after a short pause (should have known it was a sales call) a woman asked for my wife by her formal name. I said I could take a message but the caller said they would try back later and hung up before I could tell her not to bother. Kind of strange so I looked up 1-480-269-9441 and came upon this site. May be Pure Alternatives?
