Lou Aranda saying his company needed a "personal injury" attorney in our area.  He teased the call by saying it was in regards to an accident on the 405 with a semi-tractor trailer.  After asking him very specific questions and getting very vague and evasive answers, I googled the company and discovered RW Lyncy is indeed a marketing and/or referral service for personal injury attorneys.

Why can't these telemarketers just be forthright and tell you exactly why they are calling instead of making everyone jump through loops.  Very frustrating and a waste of time.

He's back! Called again on 3/29/10 about "new work".  And he called again today, 4/5/10, he asked for my boss, wanted to hold.  He said, "he would call back in the afternoon "if he the "case" wasn't handled before then. What BS.

I also received a call from an "attorney Brown" from this number.  He was pleasant and gave me this long, detailed story of how he used to have a personal injury attorney in our area to refer cases to, but that this attorney was now going through some personal problems and unable to help him anymore so "Mr. Brown" was looking for another attorney to refer his cases to.  He said he was an "attorney out of state" and never specified where or with what firm he worked for.  After getting off the phone with him, I decided to Google this "Mr. Brown" before giving the message to my boss, who would surely ask me who this guy was, and I found that the number was for RW Lynch, an advertising/referral service.  What a waste of time!

Just got a call from Nick Zarr with RW Lynch.  Same type of story, wanted to know if we handled PI's, what type of PI's we handled and he had numerous PI cases to refer to us, but needed to know if we were a good fit for them.  Way funny - to think people believe this stuff.

This guy calling himself Joel called me this morning about having some work that needed to be done on about 10 PI cases.

I decided to Google him and lo and behold it's a call from RW Lynch/Telemarketer.

    No thanks Telemarketer.

Someone called saying his name was Joel Fullerton and he wanted to know if our firm handled PI. He stated he had been in a car wreck and ONLY wanted to talk to the attorney. I thought it was strange when he wouldn't even give me his address or the location of the wreck.. so I googled the number. Scam-- company so desperate to find work they will try to lie their way in.

We get these calls all the time.  Charles Brown of RW Lynch has called the office and although I have told him we don't deal with services of his type, he insists their company is different - they don't take referral fees.  I've asked him about monthly service charges to which he replies that he would rather go over that with the attorney.  I bet he would!  Only it is my job not to tie up my busy boss with calls like these.

The perfect remedy for repeat calls of this sort .... tell them that the attorney is on the phone but he'll be off in a minute.  Ask the caller to hold and then forget about him.  Eventually, after you have wasted enough of their time on hold to annoy them, they will remove you from their solicitation list.  (They can't sell their B.S. if they are on hold all day.)

This company is spawning more irritating Telemarketers! This time the call was from Nancy.  She kept on asking if our firm did "Personal Injury".  I would not give her any information.  I said someone would have to call her back.  As I was taking down her name and number, I asked what company she was calling from--she wouldn't say and just gave her name.   I hate it when they are all cloak and dagger--it's an insult.

Charles Brown replies to Fed Up Law Firm Manager
Yes I do work for RW Lynch and one thing I try to do is be completely upfront when I call. I understand that office personnel have a job to do and that there is probably a lot of frustration from solicitors with a service similar to my company. I also understand that all attorneys are not  the angels of mercy as well, but I refuse to pass judgement and generalize. What I am doing is my job as are you and with all due respect, I only ask to do my job. One that you failed to mention was that all I wanted was 20 minutes to explain myself and if after that time if it didn't make sense then I would graciously leave the attorney alone.

I respect what you do without passing judgement or criticizing and I would hope that you would do the same for me

Nelly, I understand your frustration, I have been with RW Lynch for a relatively short period of time and I always consider myself to be forthright when calling attorneys. In saying this, I still get a negative reply from the person answering the phone and all I am asking requesting is your firm to weigh all the facts before coming to a hasty conclusion. Now, I understand that people do embellish upon the truth or are vague about their intent, that doesn't mean the entire company operates in the same manner, especially for being around 27 yrs. That would be like saying all attorneys are ambulance chasers or unscrupulous. Which is far from the truth.

My suggestion, judge each call on its own merit and understand that we all have jobs to do as do you and your bosses. Your job is tough enough and mine is as well so lets at least create an amicable meeting no matter how brief it may be

Judge each call on it's own merit, Charles?  My boss was one of the SUCKERS that somebody at JW Lynch stole about $100,000 from ... we get CRAZY calls from allegedly injured people that aren't even real!!!  Seriously, we laugh every time a call comes in because we have not received ONE SINGLE GOOD CASE from your crappy scam-of-a-company.

Charles Brown -- really?  Charlie Brown?  Why not something more original like Jimmy Hoffa?  LOL

I absolutely LOVE your solution because, not only will they NOT take you off the calling list, they will call MORE OFTEN if you ask or tell them you want to be removed -- [***]!

Received a call today, May 17th, from an "Aaron Gage" at this number.  Since we've been getting these types of calls the last 6 months or so (from different companies), I looked them up.  Seriously?  Why are you people wasting my time?  You might as well be a hacker scheming some sort of virus plaque to make us all spend money on protection & IT depts.  You suck.  Get a real job.

I work in the IT industry. A friend of mine back east is an attorney (and no, he does not use RW Lynch). I really don't understand what all the fuss is about? It's obviously a marketing firm that offers a service. I don't see how that is a scam. I've met attorneys who have taken hard-earned money from unsuspecting folks. Why the harsh language over a phone call? These folks are doing a job, earning a living - same as you and I. I get calls all day long from IT vendors, distributors, solutions providers, etc... Publicly attacking a person for calling into your business (law firm) - no matter means of intent - is like the pot calling the kettle black. If they refuse to properly ID themselves - simply say your law firm isn't in the business of divulging info without first fact-checking. Has anyone ever thought of asking "please explain the purpose of your call before I transfer you to one of our attorneys. we receive lots of telemarketing calls so i'd like to confirm your intent before wasting your time or ours." Simple, to the point & quite possibly could save all parties a lot of time. I've googled RW Lynch and while there are a few bad reviews there seem to be some positive reviews as well from attorneys who obviously found clients through this type of advertising. Maybe i'm not seeing the entire picture but I do know if a business calls me and wants me to buy IT product I give them a minute or two to explain who they are and how they can help. If I determine afterwards there's no benefit - I respond professionally and end the call. If they can help - I'm all ears.

Just received three calls in a row from them. I missed the first call and it went to voicemail where the guy whistled the Battle Hymn of the Republic for three minutes. I'm not sure how he called three times with the phone only ringing once but he did. How annoying!!

We have been receiving phone calls from a “Chris” that refuses to give his last name. He keeps calling trying to speak to the attorney here. When he calls he gives me this story about a dog and ridiculous and rude comments. He told me "Taste the rainbow". Are you serious? Do you understand that you are talking to a human being or you just like being an idiot?!? I have advised him that he is being disrespectful and not to call this firm anymore. He simply hangs up, waits a few weeks and calls back. When I called back the main number to RW Lynch they have put me on hold numerous times for more that 20 minutes. Once someone gets on the phone and I explain why I am calling, then simply hang up.

I hope that this company is slammed by everyone because they are rude and do not respect people at all. I have and will be making more complaints to the BBB.

Chris Willis of R.W. Lynch called my office yesterday and said he was following up on a call from last June, and stated he wanted to inquire about using our firm as local counsel for an auto accident.  When my secretary gave me the message, I said it sounded like some guy trying to sell advertising of some sort so I looked online and found this very same phone number associated with people making deceptive statements to get past the office call screener.  If you are from anywhere on earth and want to be this guy's local counsel for his accident-waiting-to-happen, give him a call.
