I didn't answer and they left a voicemail.  A man said, "hello" and then he stopped speaking.  I could hear him typing with background noise of what sounded like a call center, but I can't be sure.

GoDaddy customer support. Was legitimate.

Picked up and heard nothing. Then it disconnected. We use GoDaddy and this happens a lot. Very annoying.

GoDaddy telling us we have a security issue with our email. which was actually a marketing call telling us we need to switch to their new email platform, at a cost, of course.

Obviously a telemarketer. Keeps calling and not leaving a message. Now blocked.

GoDaddy telling us we have a security issue with our email. which was actually a marketing call telling us we need to switch to their new email platform, at a $179.97.  Stated we needed a new SSL Certificate instead of the SSL Certificate we already have with them.

The ID says Go Daddy, but suspect that it is a third party Go Daddy affiliate marketer because I don't use the worst hosting service available in the U.S. market--GoDaddy. It's unlikely that Go Daddy would violate the Do Not Call list, but third party vendors wouldn't hesitate to violate the DNC list. Also, reviewing comments the caller doesn't seem professional enough to actually be calling from Go Daddy.

When I answered the call, they hung up immediately.

Repeated calls at work, with no one on the other end was annoying, until I blocked the number.

They called me 20 minutes ago telling me that my GoDaddy Web site had a serious security problem. The site is fine.
A few months ago I received a similar call from a similar Arizona telephone number (if not the same number). They told me I needed to add-on a security feature to my site.  I reported that call to GoDaddy who said they did not own that telephone number, nor did they make that call.

Said he was calling from GoDaddy and that I didn't purchase the security feature. I said I didn't care so he asked for my 4 digit PIN. I said I don't remember, so he hung up.

The Do not Call List is not applicable to existent relationships. If you do, or have recently done, business w/GoDaddy - they can & will hound you - legally.

CID "Arizona". No message. Strongly suspect it's GoDaddy. They have an extremely irritating habit of continued calls/hangups when you're soon due for something, they have a new offering, or they want you to switch to a service/platform you already have (for more money) - because they finally upgraded their system.
Cant tell you how many times we've almost severed relations because of this. Irritating, rude & unprofessional.

Umm, actually no.  Regardless of whether you have an existing relationship or not, once they are told to stop calling they are required by law to stop.  Hence, if they keep calling they are not doing it legally.
