    No one on the other end.... dead air.  Apparently these call centers (which I suspect this is) dials 4 to 5 numbers and the first one to pick up gets the pitch, or live voice.  BLOCKING

    They dial hundreds of numbers at a time.  If there is someone in the call center available then one of those calls goes to that person and the rest get abandoned.

    Called just after noon and went to answering machine.  Asked for someone by name. Said nothing after that, but held the line open so background conversations got recorded.  Odd, it was either Asian or Spanish... some SCAM.
