I got a call from Sherry at this number on my cell.  My son had surgery in August and this was the emergency contact number I gave them.  The hospital coded the bill incorrectly and denied them payment.  They also sent the hospital a notice that my son was not responsible for the bill.  If the code the bill correctly and resubmit it will be paid.  I guess it's easier to harrass patients than call the insurance company and get the problem corrected.

They just called me on my work number and I asked them to please not call me on that number, that they can call my cell. Very annoying that the person was not listening or responding appropriately.  She said she was calling from Empass. (Not sure how it's spelled.

I received a call from this company stating that I owed a hospital bill in Florida.  This company handles patient accounts for all hospitals in Southern Florida.  My health insurance company is located in CT and is provided to me free as a retiree benefit from working for the State of Connecticut.  They paid the hospital bill, and according to my EOB (Explanation Of Benefits), the balance for patient responsibility is $0.00!  However, this company continues to send threatening bills in the mail as well as telephone calls from rude collectors working for this company.  I have mailed my copies of my healthy insurance payments made to them along with a copy of the EOB.  I will see what happens next.  I have also constantly been in touch with my insurance company over a two month period about this and they keep telling me not to worry about it.  But I am a retired senior and have lost many sleepless nights over this - the bill is horrendous!   And it was only for a night's stay after a day surgery for precautionary measures!!!

These morons are calling about a debt incurred from a hospital I've never been in.  I was in the hospital about 25 years ago but that was paid totally by my insurance company.  She wanted to verify all my personal information and I told her if she couldn't tell me the information then I would consider this a scam call fishing for information.  I refuse to give them or anyone any personal information!!!  Been there done that and it took 8 months to get it resolved.

I've heard from these idiots twice, asking me to give my personal info over the phone!  They say they can't read it for me to verify because that would be a breach of privacy.  The first time I politely said "Bye" and hung up; the second time I told them I don't give out my info over the phone and they gave me the number to an automated system I could use to verify, if that would be more comfortable.  I pretended to write down the number then promptly blocked the Inpac or Enpac or NPAC or whoever they are.  I was hospitalized in June, the first call came in August, before I had even gotten the bill from the hospital.

    Number now blocked
Thank GOD I only gave the hospital my toll free number. These people called me about a bill for Methodist Hospital that misdiagnosed me as having herpes simplex 2, when it was actually something else.  The quack (one of those do gooders
teetotalers) refused to run other tests which I had to go back the next day to the very same hospital turned out to be chlamydia, Dr. Foss scared me into thinking I could have HIV.  Turns out that my telephone was trespassed on during lunch hour, by some guy that sounds just like Bruce from Family Guy.  Needless to say I hung up on him. Stated he was from Empass, yeah right. So all the 502 area codes are now blocked on my phone!!!  Bye Bye Bruce.  Hey Teetotalers thy shall not pay for misdiagnosis, so just try to levy a bank account with less than $150 because you can't garnish wages in the great State of Texas. Several bills sent more than the $25.00 that they claim I owe.  Good luck collecting!!!!

    Callcentric rocks!!!
Times like these demand callcentric's phone service.  With Call Centric, you can block entire area codes from pests such as these.

Along with the "Don't you worry about a thing" UPS store private mailbox where all the mail goes (process serve that), I also signed up for Call Centric toll free number service, which they cannot block their caller id plus you can block entire area codes, or area codes and prefixes using their call treatment options, would you like to give them a disconnected message, error message, fax tone, or a busy tone?  The choice is yours with Call Centric.  Sure you can get a call blocker standalone unit, but way pay all that extra money?  BYOD device unlike Vonage, ATT Uverse or CrimeWarners so called digital phone. They also have a telemarketer block option as well.  The FTC/FCC is pretty much useless, so forget about that option.  www.callcentric.com
Port numbers for free until the end of the year.  Plus you can also get a free NY State number as well.  Use one for friends use the other for everything else. Callcentric.  It is like RAID, it kills bugs dead.

Several years ago, my sister became ill with a serious bacterial infection that was neither properly handled or diagnosed by a local ER doctor. Two days later she was admitted to another hospital (and, according to her doctor), was within hours of going into septic shock. She survived (thank God), and as soon as that bill came from that doctor who mishandled her case, she flatly (and with good reason), refused to pay it. Several weeks later, she received a threatening letter from an attorney's office. She wrote him back and told him what had happened and she had no intention of paying his "client" for such substandard care. He did not respond, and she figured that was the end of it. Well, three years later, she receives another letter demanding payment. She sent him another letter and attached a copy of the original letter, making her intentions abundantly clear: "I have NO intention of paying this bill". A few days later, she received another letter---closing her account. They knew full well if they took my sister to court, she would countersue and WIN.
