They were using this number for the Jury Duty scam. The caller said they were Lieutenant Derrick Peterson (name used to pretend that they're legit as there is someone with the same name in the sheriff's office, but he's a captain) Badge #00965, and asked for $2500 per count: Failure to Appear and Adjournments in Contemplation of Dismissal. They said I was charged with failure to appear and for signature forgery. They said my other option was to had the forgery on my record forever, and $5000 per count and six months in federal prison and 180 hours of community service. It felt off the whole time, but when we got to the Paypal and he said they didn't take debit or cash due to stolen cards and counterfeit currency, I knew for sure something was very, very wrong. @MarkeousHudson728 was the Paypal they requested I send the $5000 to. I hung up after that information, and immediately called the Multnomah County Courthouse (Downtown). They said they would never call and unless you are repeatedly not showing up for Jury Duty, they very rarely involve the County Sheriff. Also, if you are not currently residing in Multnomah County, you are ineligible to be a juror there and will be excused immediately when you bring it to their attention.
