Well you can hope all you want for a lot of things but it ain't gonna happen.  It's a scam.

I never know when Ive been told that I won something by entering a contest, because I enter a lot of them in hopes that at least one is not a scam and I might possibly win something.  I wish there were some way to know for sure whether which contests or calls and texts were legit.

your post troubled me because i think you are in a very vulnerable position if you use any personal information to enter contests.  I would say that the chances of getting scammed or having part or all of your personal info used fraudently is much greater than the chance of winning something for nothing.

got a text from 5034423608 - same thing, 1K gift card - i wish there was a way to track who sent this

I received a msg that I WON  a free $1000.00 Best Buy Gift card enter 6550.

I received the same text. I contacted Best Buy and I was transferred to the text and email Fraud Department.  it is a scam and is not affiliated with Best Buy.

I myself just also received the text of winning the best buy 1,000 gift card and this actually is the 2nd text ive gotten in 6 months. IPhone number texting was 503-415-0399 reply code 6550.
