I received text message that my card has been deactivated; but when I called the #.  It was asking me to enter my 16 digits card number.  I called the wells fargo 1-800-number instead and they told me that it's fraudulent text.

Not going to call it though.  Sounds like a scam to me.

Fraudulent notification that my card was deactivated, but Wells Fargo said it is a scam, not true.

I also just received this message, and I did call just to see what it was about. The message sounded completely sketchy, asking for my 16 digit number. Pretty sure Wells Fargo doesn't make house calls on Sundays...

Same "Wells Fargo Alert" here.  Problem is, I don't have, nor have I ever had, a Wells Fargo account.

I reported them to the FBI.

Text message from 612-812-3874 claiming to be Wells Fargo saying my card has been deactivated. Received 10:45pm on a Sunday. I have no Wells Fargo card. Asked me to call 503-877-6625. I did not call but when I looked up both numbers all the complaints say it is a scam. Jerks

How did you go about reporting them? I would be interested in doing the same. There are so many out there that would easily fall for this scam

I got the same text message.  I am reporting it to the WA State Attorney General and the FCC.  Do not call the referring number.  Like everyone else said it is a scam.

I too received the message: "WELLS FARGO AlERT: Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED Please contact us at 503-877-6625" The funny thing is I do not have a
wells Fargo card nor do I qualify for one. A certain scam.

Got the same message "WELLS FARGO ALERT:  Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED.  Please contact us at (503) 877-6625"

    Here's what I know:

    1)  I don't have a credit card with Wells Fargo....but they do hold my mortgage.
    2)  They sent the text messge to my cell number which is unlisted....and not easy to get.
    3)  I'm right in the middle of a re-finance.....have contacted the credit agencies (Experian, Transunion, Equifax) and requested a HIGH RISK FRAUD ALERT.

I will be contacting the police to report this.
