The IRS corresponds by snail mail. - Ruby333Same as above - left message saying IRS is filing a lawsuit against "you" - no names...good grief, do they expect anyone to fall for this? It is ridiculous...blocked the number and reported it here.
- Smarterthanthem| 1 reply"Kevin" (who had a heavy accent) called to say that I was being sued for tax evasion and fraud. When I told him I was not being sued and wouldn't be giving him any information, he said the IRS would be at my address to serve papers and arrest me and then the line went dead...guess he hung up on me.

- BrianCalled me Three times in just over one hour. Computer voice directing me to call a given number and indicated that this was a final notice from the IRS (what a joke). Came up as internatnl Call the first time then Othello, Wa the next time on the caller Id. This is what the IRS say about this type of scam on their website: “If someone unexpectedly calls claiming to be from the IRS and threatens police arrest, deportation or license revocation if you don’t pay immediately, that is a sign that it really isn’t the IRS calling.” Werfel noted that the first IRS contact with taxpayers on a tax issue is likely to occur via mail.
