text message indicating "you have a balance Pay here: https://..........."

Scam! If it were real, they would call or indicate which company or account number they are referring to. I have no calls from this number and the texts are too vague to be real.

Hello <<myname>>,  you have a balance. Pay here: https //....

Although this doesn't look legitimate, this is not a scam. It is a medical biller used by some medical facilities. I thought it was a scam because it doesn't give you any information about your bill until you click the link. Then it gives biller details. I had already paid the bill by the time I figured out this was a legitimate text. Sorry for my previous answer.

I find it interesting "Steve" that you are telling us this, and yet you do not name this "medical biller" when you would have learned it when you followed the link (how else would you know that they do not give "biller details" unless you go to the site).

Actually, I think that you are a scammer impersonating the earlier poster who went by the name Steve so that you can attempt to protect the operation of your scam by claiming that the original post was a mistake.  I have a feeling that all the other posts listing this as a scam are affecting your "business".

I got the exact same vague text.  I would never click on the link.  If it was a legitimate 'medical biller' then they would send certified mail.  I believe it's a scam also.

I seriously doubt that any legitimate Biller would send a bill by certified mail when they can simply send it first class. Why would they spend $10 to send a letter that could be sent for less than a dollar?
