ok, stupid me answered the phone because I couldn't read the caller id well at the time.  With my reading glasses on, I discovered  the caller id read "VOIP Caller".  I still shouldn't have answered it.  It turned out to be the robotic Fraternal order of bogus Police charities using yet another number to swipe our money.  It started talking and I just hung up, which means I'll get 50 more calls from these clowns this week.  So don't answer this number: 510-214-8094

Got this call too

Another call from the Fraternal Order of Police seeking donations.  It is a new number but the same scam.  All of my calls from the area code 510 have been from this group.  None of the money collected goes to your local police department.  They claim to be exempt from the do not call list because they claim to be a charity.  Voip Caller ID.

Beware this a scam please call the cops and let them no about this I just did and was told it is a scam.

Caller ID said "Oakland CA". I never answer calls from numbers I don't know, or areas I don't know. No msg left. Thanks to posters above for info.

If you dare answer these calls, what I've found that has worked in the past is ask them for their badge number.  It's worked before.

This number has called at least twice today. I'm not answering.

Left no message, called them back anonymously, too busy to answer phone, sent to voicemail, SCAM

They call almost every day.  I do not, have not, and will not answer.  I wish they would stop calling.   Interesting side note, I never got this many scam calls until after I put my number on the "Do Not Call" list.  Thanks for nothing, Uncle Sam!

Got two this PM from Oakland CA...probably nowhere near Oakland..just looked at phone register and ignored...curse all you want, this crap won't go away...Congress needs to get the FCC to implement rules so the PHONE COMPANIES would be liable for not doing enough to end this.

I count 19 reported calls to date on this forum. Also possible seeking active phone numbers.
I block All phone numbers, document them, research them, call back if warranted and allow if valid.
