I received a call from this number.  Heavy india accent saying that I had allegation against my name ans social security number.  Attorney Joe Brown?  I don't know anything about this company.  Does anybody else?

Hello. The same guy called me. this is the third time they have tried to scam me. I admit the first time they got my info because it was so convincing and threatening, I didn't want any trouble so I was going to pay them but the more i asked questions about the supposed debt they couldn't answer, then my friend googled the number, and we found others had been contacted in the same manner. It is a scam where they try to intimidate you into avoiding lawful action and just surrendering your info for payment. They always have foreign accent but claim they have american names like Joe Brown and Marcus Howard. Do Not give them your info. They read from ascript of broken english. If you're curious, start asking questions like what court did they file in? If you call the courts, they should be able to give me a copy correct?.. you know along those lines. He will start stuttering and just hang up. The only way police will get involved is if you actually give financial info. Or just ignore the call. Be assured its not valid because if there was a judgement or debt owed where you're being sued, they are required to inform you in writing of a court date etc and in Maryland you can look up that info on MD Court Case Search. Its public info.
